"I'm going out today," I informed him as we were eating breakfast.

"To where? Your foot still hurts, right?"

"I can manage. I just really need to visit my friends."

He nodded. "Okay. That actually sounds great since I won't be home for the whole day today. I was worried you'd be alone here."

"Where are you going? To the palace?"

He nodded his head again.

"It's still chaotic in there, isn't it?"

"Probably. And I'm going to visit the Battalion today too."

"The rumors didn't die down yet."

"Because it's not a rumor. His Majesty can't deny it because that would be lying. But he also can't confirm it because he's afraid something might happen to me. And the coronation is just a week away from today."

That literally made me freeze. Like I was paralyzed.
