Chapter 95: Cobalt dress

Eventually, somewhere in her antiquities, Jo found a very old dress in a shade of royal cobalt. She wondered if it could still be worn. Many years had passed since she had it on.

"Try it!" Elen began to encourage her. “It’s your color! It highlights the tone of your eyes.”

“The dress is well over ten years old and it has a history.”

“There is no age tag. This fabric is amazing and the cut, although conservative is extravagant.” Elen touched the dress which was made of a delicate, flowing material. “Tell me about its history.”

“Not today, please.”

Jo took off the red gown and hung it up back in the closet. She had doubts whether she should take the cobalt one out of the wardrobe at all, let alone show up in public.

When she was about to finish, she heard a knock on the door, followed by Matthew's voice.

“Ladies, can I come in? I brought you some warm snacks.”

“Wait a minute.” Jo panicked and in a hurry she pulled a long white, terry cloth robe over the cobalt dress.
