Chapter 6: He Won't Kill Me, Right?

Gladys' footsteps had brought her exactly to the address she got earlier.

The big house in an elite area in Paris made her a little amazed.

Her eyes seemed to be happy waiting for her meeting with her father's friend, who she considered like her own uncle.

Just as she was about to walk towards the gate to ring the doorbell for Aloys' house, Gladys was surprised by the presence of the ash-haired youth she met earlier.

"Isn't he the young man from earlier?" Gladys squeaked softly as she saw what the young man was doing.

The young man seemed casually pressing a small button like a small remote control in his hand and then pointed it up and also the gate in front of him.

'Wait... what is he doing? Did he damage the CCTV and gate system?' Surprised Gladys half screamed in her heart.

Feeling curious about the young man's figure, who she thought was mysterious, Gladys immediately ran silently, following the young man's steps.

She really wondered what the young man was doing and why he was going to her uncle's house.

That's a big question mark for her.

Click

The gate is closed.

'Almost.' Gladys mind that came in just before a few seconds the gate automatically closed itself.

'Shit! Why has he arrived? ... it's at—'

Before he finished, he really glanced at the clock perched in his hand, and his sharp ear reflex heard the movement of other people following him.

Blame Gladys for not understanding the situation or condition she should be hiding when stalking someone, right?

"You??" Shocked the ash-haired youth with his small shriek of surprise.

Gladys swallowed her saliva roughly. All she could do was give the boy a slight grin.

Without a word, the young man then pulled Gladys' hand to a quiet place near the garden behind the uncle's big house.

"What are you doing here?" asked the young man in his low voice.

Honestly, this time Gladys felt intimidated. Even she herself began to curse her stupidity while thinking of other strange things.

'You idiot Gladys, what if this young man in front of you is a villain not like the young man you think he is?'

"Why are you asking me? Isn't it obvious that the suspicious one is you? I just came here to meet my uncle. He is inside." Gladys who tried to brave herself against her fear.

Hearing Gladys's voice starting to get loud, the young man's reflexes smothered the girl and returned to hiding behind a small tree that was there.

"Get your hand off my mouth, or I'll scream." Threatened Gladys while her mouth was still gagged by the young man.

'Arghh… why is there such a barrier anyway?'

He didn't immediately remove his hand from Gladys's mouth. The young man looked at the clock perched on his wrist.

'Gosh!' The young man screamed in his heart who realized that he was already late from the time he had set earlier.

Without warning, the young man immediately removed his hand from Gladys and tried to sneak into the big house from the place he had learned before.

Gladys, who was about to get angry, of course, couldn't express her emotions. Instead, she felt more and more curious about him

Just now, the young man jumped in the sound of groans and gasping breaths that the young man could hear from one of the rooms inside.

'It's strange, why are the lights off, and the CCTV here doesn't turn on one? Did the culprit not use the same method as before?' Shocked the ash-haired youth.

'What exactly is he looking for? Why is he acting so strange and so careful? Is uncle really at home? Why are all the lights off? Is it because it's night? but —'

"Can you not talk much?" whispered the young man with the same unfriendly gaze as before when he realized he was being followed by Gladys, who was behind him.

Thump!

'I'm not talking...'

The young man just rolled his eyes lazily. He really didn't like the girl who followed him.

The young man's footsteps, as well as Gladys' footsteps, were getting closer to the door where he was hearing a small moans of pain earlier.

Just as the young man was about to open the door to the room, the young man noticed the compounds that had accumulated in the room.

'Sweet!? Woe.'

"Don't come any closer. Wait there," said the young man, warning Gladys, who wanted to follow him.

Seeing the fierce gaze full of anger, of course, made Gladys agree and not move according to the young man's words.

The young man was already wearing glasses and a mask before opening the door to the room.

He was just about to open the door, but unexpectedly the door was locked tightly with several passwords.

'Shit! I'm late. His liver must have gone bad.'

Feeling that he couldn't save Aloys as he expected, the young man immediately changed his plan and grabbed the girl's arm quickly.

"What is wrong?"

"Shut up. Otherwise, you're in danger."

"You're not going there? Who's there?"

The young man didn't answer but grabbed Gladys's hand tightly so she could hasten her way out of there.

He realized that there was no way for him to help the person he was supposed to save. Even if he insisted, the result would still be bad or perhaps ruin his long-standing plan and identity that he had been so good at hiding.

Gladys really wanted to try to get her hands off the young man, but the intimidation the young man gave her was much greater.

'Who is he really? Why do I feel intimidated but also safe?'

The boy's footsteps quickened and dragged Gladys into the boy's metallic sports car.

"Where are you -"

Again, that intimidating gaze couldn't make Gladys move. She could only be silent and sat on the passenger seat beside the ash-haired youth.

'He won't kill me, right?'

The young man chuckled softly before speeding up the car.
