Chapter 123: 121

When the measurements were done, me Nelson and Darcy begged to take their leave. 

They walked out with the king's permission and Dimitri showing them the way once more. 

There was something like a crash but no one turned back. It seems the princess had had her limit. 

Darcy wished she could explore and see more of the castle but her father wouldn't allow that. Hopefully, she would get to come here again and get to see more parts of the castle. 

As they walked past a darkened entry in hall, she saw dark red eyes stare at her from a corner. 

She gasped in shock because she hadn't noticed them. She blinked and they slowly faded away. 

Mr Nelson was at alert "Darcy, what happened?" 

She looked confused but then smiled to ease her father's worry. "I thought I saw someone staring at me from the shadows. But I must be mistaken and it was only a trick of the light. "

Her father nodded wanting to believe her.
