"I'm not here to fuel your ego."

Kieran's smile only widened. Then he turned to group in front of them. "Princess Clarissa, meet my Elite warriors. Introduce yourselves."

There had to be over thirty of them. By the time it got to the fifteenth person, Clarissa was sure they were up to forty. 

She was able to recall some of their names but not all.

"Everyone here has a special skill that they have mastered." Kieran explained. "As well as fighting without powers or abilities. Sometimes, relying on one's ability or powers only can be problematic because your power becomes your weakness."

Clarissa understood that. If anything happened and they somehow lost their ability or powers, they would be left with nothing to defend themselves. 

"I want to test how well you can fight, so we'll start with one of my weakest fighters. She'll be using her powers and abilities as well as her normal fighting skills against you. Tamara."
