Chapter 148: Family

A few more weeks passed before Beatrice felt strong enough to tour her home. She was pleased with the reconstruction of the corridors to her chambers. She had not stayed there since that fateful night. She couldn't bear to. Most of her nights were spent in William's old quarters.

Since he had preferred the tower his quarters were never used or refurbished to his liking. She slept there now or rather dwelled there. Most nights when Beatrice closed her eyes she was reliving the same painful moments over and over again. Beleth looks her in her eyes and admits that he had her parents murdered. She would wake up screaming as if someone had harmed her. 

Clancy was always by her side to encourage her. 

Today, they were visiting the family cemetery. It was situated in the back of the Castle's chapel.
