Chapter 71: Chapter Seventy-One

It takes near all my strength to keep to the cooking etiquette Paige instilled in me. Without her around to judge me with her disapproving stares the temptation to pick out the strainer as I fry my chips is overwhelming.

But I manage and get through it, not slipping once and feeling proud of myself when I pour the entire thing into a plate, get a fork and a soda and head back to my room to have my late afternoon breakfast.

The apartment I got by the medic tent is fairly large for my needs, especially seeing as I don't have that many. I don't stay here as often as I thought I would though, most of my time spent with Rex and Austin at Rey's place nearby.

I'm not sure if that's because I've been on missions with them lately or just because I can't seem to stay by myself. If I'm being honest it might be the latter.
