Jennifer was struck.

Observing the young child's sad face, something seemed to pinch inside her heart. "I-I never wanted to snatch you from your father. I-It was just your mother was going through something and... she took this decision." 

"I-I do not have any intention of going ahead with the notice. It is lost, it's important. Your father and I have already talked about it." 

Ariana looked at her mother with her wide eyes. The glow of happiness covered her small eyeballs as she felt true happiness budding inside her chest. 

"Are you telling me the truth, muma?" she asked, this time with a lighter tone to receive a nod from Jennifer. "Definitely. I... don't harbor any bad intention towards any of us." 

"So... will we be a family of.. four?" Ariana was unsure, but she asked with her keen gazes.
