The dark shadows coalesced rapidly together to form a large shape.
Mana and Raven looked at King Corvus with enquiring eyes.
King Corvus shrugged. "I have no idea about this, either," he said. "It has never happened before." Then he chuckled. "But that's something that the two of you are used to hearing all the time, aren't you?" he teased lightly. "Rest assured, the innate magic of the Obsidian Kingdom will never harm anyone with full fledged dark magic unless they perform forbidden magic."
"Forbidden magic?" Mana asked curiously.
Raven frowned. "There are only six books in the library which mention forbidden magic, but they never talk about what they are or any details about them," he said.
King Corvus smiled helplessly. "I'll give you a book on it from my private collection," he said. Both Mana and Raven were bookworms – that was well known fact by now.
The two children were satisfied with that.
