Chapter 293: Chapter 292 – King Corvus Explains

Mana and Raven glanced at each other, silent communication exchanging rapidly between the two children while everyone else waited for their response. After a few moments, the two of them nodded at each other and turned to face King Corvus.

"Grandfather," Raven said quietly. "It would be best if you told Mana and I in full detail exactly how the blood of the royal family of the Obsidian Kingdom can affect the wards and the restrictions around our boundaries."

King Corvus nodded. "Everyone else can leave," he announced, not even bothering to offer an explanation to the others.

Crown Princess Pica bit her lip, clearly wanting to protest, but holding herself back.

"Come on, let's go," General Aquila said mildly, gathering his wife, his son and the twins. "We should also notify Jaren about this." He shot Raven a reassuring glance, indicating with his dark eyes that he would always support the boy with whatever was required.
