All sleep had been driven away by what had happened just now.

Mana sighed. "I think that there is a high likelihood that you might be chosen," she murmured. "Your fate is that of an emperor, and you are also the master of the Holy Sceptre of the Pearl Kingdom. Also, if the criteria for choosing the next monarch is merit or talent or intelligence – I am afraid that there is no one better than you."

She looked up at Raven's eyes, which had returned to their beautiful rainbow hue. "What do you think of this development, Raven? Do you want to be the next king of the Pearl Kingdom?" she asked.
