Chapter 21: Chapter 20 : My effect on people.
Iris chocked on the spaghetti in her mouth and started coughing. Justice rushed to her side, giving her some water as he rubbed her back. Iris gushed the water, even letting it soak her blouse.
Though the spaghetti had gone down, her throat felt horse and her eyes were red. She punched Justice lightly, " You trying to kill me cos I called you an ugly crier "? Iris sighed as she got up, taking off her jacket again.
" Look what you did "? Justice frowned, " I was trying to help and besides you chocked yourself ". Iris raised an eyebrow as she pointed at herself, " Are you saying it's my fault "?
Justice gulped back his retort as he spoke with a smile, " Of course not, It was my fault ". Iris nodded slowly, " Yeah, that's what I thought ". Justice saw her trying to dry it off with some tissues. " To fix my mistakes, let me get you a new shirt ".
Iris sighed, " You don't have to do that, I'll just dry this off in the bathroom ". Iris walked out of the private room and into the bathroom. " This shirt cost me a thousand bucks, you better not be ruined ".
But the shirt wasn't listening, then she saw the hand drier by the entrance. She took of the shirt, revealing the black lace bra she was wearing. She wore her jacket over it and put the blouse to the drier.
It was almost dry when she heard a knock on the bathroom door, " Iris you in there "? Iris laughed " Yeah, why "? Justice opened the door slightly and held out a shopping bag, " I got you some clothes as promised ".
Iris gingerly took the bag from him and he took his hand back [ He's so cute ] " I wasn't sure what you're size was so I got a lot ". Iris did see many shirts in the bag, " How did you get so many so quickly "?
Justice laughed, " I'm a superstar, I've got wardrobe on speed dial ". Iris nodded thoughtfully, " Maybe I should get one too ". Iris quickly dismissed the thought, shaking her head [ That cost money ]
Iris picked a random shirt from the bag and ended up wearing a shirt two sizes big. It was the same color as the one she was wearing but with a white butterfly pattern. She tucked it in which still couldn't hide how big it looked on her.
She didn't mind [ It's comfy ] and walked out. Justice managed to swallow back his laughter, " You look like a parachute ". Iris laughed, striking a pose " A very cute parachute ".
Justice shook his head as he took the bag and jacket from her. Iris giggled, " You're such a gentleman but let me carry it ". Justice shook his head, " I can't let you do that ". He began walking and Iris followed, catching up with him "You're so sweet, but I'll always remember you as an ugly crier ".
Justice felt his veins bulge slightly as he tried to control his anger, " You're the first person I can't seem to lose my temper with Iris ". Iris pouted slightly as she held his arm and leaned on it, " I have that effect on people ".
Justice couldn't help but laugh as he looked down at her face, " Do you still want to eat "? Iris nodded, " Of course, I want a burger with extra fries ". The two talked about where they'd get it as they turned the corner and leaving the rows of private rooms behind.
That was the same time a private room door was suddenly opened and the man still dressed in his military uniform stepped out, " I'm sure I heard her voice ".
But the cheering and celebrating among the people in the room didn't allow him to leave as they pulled him back in, " You can't just leave like that Oliver, you're the guest of honour. Have a few more drinks ".
Oliver happily obliged as he went back in. He was truly happy now knowing Iris was somehow within his reach now and this time, he wouldn't let her trick him again.
