Chapter 62: The muggers?

"No, that's not what I meant—" Hesitating for a while, Amber tried to explain herself. "I just don't want to trouble you." 

"Oh don't worry you are not." Looking outside, Ivan said, "We really shouldn't take shelter in a random place in this weather. And what if the roads get completely logged and we are stuck here?" 

"Hmm, let's just go to a safe place then," she agreed. They didn't really have a choice either. Amber's place was quite far from where they were and with the weather so bad, it wasn't safe to drive so far. 

After getting her approval, he drove towards his place.

Ivan's apartment. 

When they arrived at Ivan's place, the weather turned worse. The rainfall turned more heavy and was now accompanied by a storm. 

As soon as they entered the elevator, Ivan said, "I just got a message from Athan, he will drop your friend home as soon as the weather gets better." 

"Cath messaged me too."
