Chapter 38: Intrusion

(The MD-5 was busy practicing a fierce competition of Turbo Crash 9 against Marco, but there are 2 problems. One is that Tari was idle throughout the run. The other is that their free time is up)
Marco: Alright MD-5, practice is over.
Lamar: You got to be kidding. Tari still hasn't done a thing.
Sofia: Yeah. In fact... (looks onto Tari) She hasn't moved at all since we started.
Marco: Practice or not, you're gotta face me fair and square.
Bo: Excuse me, but... (to Sofia) Are you guys the MD-5? My assistant Lo's been talking about you guys once.
Lamar: & I see you'd be related to him. What do you know about him?
(Bo first feels pressured, but now feels it's the time to talk to them)
Marco: So... are we supposed to have our match or not?

(Lo & Tari are still struggling as the revival plan's in motion. Meanwhile, Belle & Masa had noticed a familiar rat on the walls)
Lo: Oh, if there's a great savior up in the sky, please help me.
Evelyn: Oh please... The chances of that happening were slim to none. It doesn't mean some act would fall out of the-
(But then, Theo fell from the vents & into a nurse program, completely shocking Evelyn from the moment)
Theo: (notices Lo) Oh, hi again buddy. What is this place?
Lo: Theo, run!
Evelyn: How dare you crash into my-
(But then, Theo threw a box at her & proceeds to wrestle the programs)
Lucinia: Lo, I felt something was wrong with me. What's up?
Lo, witnessing the brawl: It looks like Theo was busy trying to free us, as soon as he stops dealing with the doctors.
(After a while of messing up with Evelyn & the workers, she grabbed Theo by the neck)
Evelyn: Ugh, you got some nerve trying to make a fool out of me. Besides, you were NEXT on my revenge list.
Theo: Why? I don't even know who you are...
Evelyn: You DARE forget who I am?
Theo: Nah, I recognized you from the ugly monster we fought. I just need you to stop strangling me.
(Theo then kicked her off & threw his coconut at the control program, effectively setting Lo & Tari free from the latches)
Lo: (rips off the needle from his brain) Alright, Theo! (to Tari) Now help me deal with these fools.
Tari: Right. (tosses the coconut to a recovering program & not Evelyn)
Lo: Really?
Evelyn: (gets raspberried by Theo & lets go of him) UGH! You're disgusting! Why is this world so realistic?!
(The three then got out via vents & ended up in a strange room full of A-posing avatars)
Lo: Looks like this place went from ominous to spooky real fast.
(Sees Evelyn dropping down with a powerful knife)
Theo: More like horrifying with her here.
(Evelyn then proceeds to attack the gang, forcing them to use the avatars to their advantage.)
Lo: This has gone too personal for me. I'll try to call Kel & at least get out of here.
Tari: No you can't. We have to stick together.
(But then, Evelyn roundhouses poor Theo & is ready to finish him off, only for Lo to lunge at her)
Lo: Not this time, you brat.
Evelyn: Let go! Surely those intrusions can't be the weirdest I've been today.
(A warp tunnel then opens & they fell in it)
~In the warp tunnel~
(While Tari's busy throwing Theo, Lo decides to activate his upgraded call option. Using Bo's tech, he can still call in-between universes)
Lo: (tries to call Kel) Come on... work... (his call is then received) Yes!
(But then Evelyn stabs his hand, making it harder for Lo to make a stable connection) NO!
Evelyn: eh, eh, eh... No cheating! (gets shoved by Tari)
Lo: I'm not trying to cheat!
Kel, via screen-chat: Lo, what was going on? I got a feeling something's up.
Lo: You think? Listen, I'm going through some major difficulties right now. So I don't think I'll be here in time. I'm sorry-
(Suddenly, Tari & Lo gets pushed out of the tunnel, cutting off the connection. By the time they land, they're at some open island)
~Unknown island~
(When Lo came through, he was dressed in a plain shirt & beige short. His feet were wearing some rattan slippers & his mechanical arm was more rustic than ever. He checked on his left hand & is seen bleeding pink cubes.)
Lo: (to Lucinia, who's still on his arm) Um Luz, what's happening?
Lucinia, being buggier than ever: I don't know... It's as if... my power's diminishing.
Tari: Lo, what's this place?
(Lo then looked behind to see Tari in a similar outfit as hers. He tries to reason when Petey came out)
Petey: Ah welcome inhabitants to the land of... (shows them the game's logo being) SKYBREAKERS, the pirate-themed MMORPG! I be Petey & will be yer guide--tey...
Lo: Nice to hear Petey but... (sees Tari struggling from her wound & passes out) was there any chance you can patch us up?
