"Gosh, these are hard to walk in," she muttered as she stumbled again.
Elias chuckled as he watched her.
"They look good, though. I'm sure if you practice, you'll be fine," he pointed out.
Alyssa figured that he had a point. She would have to break these in before graduation, which meant walking back and forth across her apartment over and over again.
Her feet were going to be so sore, but she preferred that than falling on the steps heading up to the stage. She had to pick her battles.
"Yeah, I like these," she said with a smile. She liked shopping, which was mostly thanks to Zoe for showing her the way.
Elias moved close to her to lean near her ear.
"I think we should bring this little fashion show to an end," he told her.
Alyssa turned to look at him, her eyes widening when she realized he was worked up.
"That's all it takes? Watching me try on dresses and heels?" she asked him with a laugh.
