Chapter 292: Bound By An Oath

"Is she okay?" Mia asked once she took over. Nothing would change the fact that she was worried sick about the girl in that truck.

"Honestly, no, but I think if you save the murderer, she'll be better," Jill sighed like it was the saddest thing of the day. She remembered Lia's face when she had realized that Alex was dying. 

It was a face that Jill was so familiar with, a face that haunted her all her life. That was the same face Amelia had worn when she realized that her sister swerved the car, and they had collided with the dan taker. 

It was the look of disbelief and betrayal. The look that questioned the universe and wished that things could have been a little lighter. But then that was a luxury they all couldn't afford, at least not in this life anyway.
