"Ry— Ryan?" Alex mouthed, unsure of whether he was living in an alternate reality. Maybe all of this was an illusion because his brother was beside him. Granted he truly was, but it was Ryan's state that made Alexander lose it.

He had been doing okay for months, and even wanted to patch things up with his brother. He had dreams and now, all he had left was his brother, laying on the cold floor, his open eyes a reminder that Alex had failed and once again, the enemy had won.

"Jason?" Wilford said and Alex looked at his secretary like he was seeing things. Wilford had been staring at the place Nik had been standing and while Nik had already left, Jason still stood there, watching, and waiting for the brothers to acknowledge his presence.
