Chapter 112: In Which She Slowly Fades

The hair sprawled on the floor was an indication of Alexander's worst nightmare being actualized. For the hundredth time, he wished it was him in her place. He was scared. He was hurt. He was lost. He was slowly losing the little sanity he had or had already lost it. 

Carefully, he removed the stones off her back, careful out to hurt her, but the blood spots that met his eyes made him want to kill Nik himself. He didn't care that Nik was Lia's brother. No brother hurt his sister this bad and just left. 

Who the fuck did he think he was? 

He could hear the police and the bomb squad say something to him. They were worried about him bleeding, but Alex was worried about the woman in his arms. He could bleed to death, and he didn't care. All he wanted was this woman, the one he wouldn't let anyone touch.
