Chapter 100: "Frustration"

Hours passed, and still no news about Marvella. Kristov continued to assist in the wine store, but it felt so empty without the jolly lady. What could have happened in the palace? Did Ezekiel give Marvella an urgent task?

When the store closed before midnight, Ezekiel grew worried. What if something happened to Marvella upon returning to the marketplace? He had to check for his peace of mind!

"That's it… I'm going to the palace," Kristov told the three knights.

"We shall come with you." One of the knights said, Actually, they already knew what Ezekiel's and Marvella's conversation could be about. But they knew, their jobs weren't to be gossipmongers. They only had the duty to observe Kristov and the people around him, then report to the King.

As soon as they all arrived at the palace, they were led to the throne room. Sitting on his throne was Ezekiel, and a step down on his left was a special, empty seat adorned with blue and white gemstones.
