Chapter 117: Listening and Hearing Part 1

"Bodhi?" Daniel calls from the top of the inn's stairs. 

Simultaneously looking back and hiding his blade under his waistband, Bodhi zeros in on Daniel's ruffled, barefoot, and spent form. Daniel could easily be subdued. 

Bodhi has found his target. 

Bodhi smiles in uncanny friendliness. "Daniel."

Daniel instantly roots his feet into the ground and assumes his guard. Bodhi would never express genuine, compassionate emotions to another being unless something was immensely off-balance with him. 

Scenting and assessing the air, the microscopic hairs on Daniel's scalp stand on edge.

Demonic energy surrounds Bodhi, emitting from the core of Bodhi's form - where Bodhi's soul lies.
