Chapter 7: Chapter 7

A day after the party, Mr and Mrs Smith set up a meeting together with the Meredith's. While Michael Angelo said goodbye to leave first because he will pick up his friend at the airport who has just arrived. The Smith's went to M Corp., owned by the Meredith's.

Athena and her parents are waiting for the arrival of the Smith's, she is clueless about the said meeting. Her brows knitted as she saw Mr. and Mrs Smith went inside the conference room together with three ladies.

The Smith's greeted courteously the Meredith's and vice versa. "Anyway where is Michael Angelo." Anthony asked.

"Michael Angelo said he'll follow here after he even picked up his friend at the Airport." Mr Robert said.

"A friend?" Athena asked out of curiosity. Mrs Adelaine chuckled.

"Don't worry dear, his friend is a man, and I've known him. His name is Yohan. He was my son's colleague in his part-time job in the US." Mrs Adelaine couldn't help but to smile at what she saw on Athena's reaction. While Athena sigh in relief. Then she turned her stare at the three ladies smiling. "Oh I forgot. These three ladies in front of you will help you for your wedding. This is Betty your wedding planner, This is chef Andrea she's in charge in catering and this is Amy for in charge of your gown." Adelaine explained.

Athena frowned. "Isn't it too early for the preparation?" She asked.

"Sweetie" Mrs Jodie caresses her hair, she turned her head to look at her mother beside her.

"You will have your wedding three weeks from now." Shocked is evident on Athena's face.

"W-why so sudden change of plans mom? Is Gelo already knew about this?" and with that, the door immediately open, and it was Michael Angelo.

"I'm sorry I'm late. He immediately greeted his parents and so as the Meredith's, and she kissed Athena's cheeks which made Athena blushed. He sat beside Athena.

Athena looked at Michael Angelo. "Do you already knew about the plan?" She asked.

"What plan? I just arrived here, and I don't know what's this meeting all about." He whispered, it brings Athena shivers.

"W-well their talking about our wedding which will happen three weeks from now. Are you aware of this?" The couple didn't know that they were watched by their parents especially their mothers who are silently giggling.

"I didn't know about this. But it's fine with me. How about you? " He asked coolly.

Really eh? She taught.

"O-okay. It's fine with me then. I'm just concern with you, you are going back to US after your vacation." She said as a matter of fact.

"Nah it's fine. I'll transfer here. After we get married I will go back to the US to ask for a transfer here, so I could continue my studies here." he said. I have also a work here. I will be permanently assigned here as agent. He thought to himself.

Adelaine's face lit up as what she heard from her son. "Really son?" she asked in amused. "Yes mom." Michael Angelo nodded and smiled. He fixed his eyeglasses.

"That's good news then. You can manage our company when you graduated." His father Mr Robert said. Michael just nodded without saying a word. They talked about the preparation for their wedding and after the meeting, they have decided to eat lunch together, so they went to a fancy restaurant.

Mr. Robert sat on the chair in the middle of the long table opposite to Mr. Anthony, while their wives are at their right seat, Athena is seated on the left side of her father and so as Michael Angelo. The Waiter came to get their order and after a few minutes the order was served. They were all busy eating when suddenly Michael's phone rang. He excused himself and tell them that it was his friend who's calling, and he went outside the restaurant to answer the phone call.

"Yes?" He asked coldly

"Did you tell your parents that you will stay here for good?" Yohan asked.

"Yes. Why?" Yohan smirked

"Well good then. I will not be surprised if they will feel very happy." Yohan mocked.

"Why did you call by the way?" He asked

"Anyway, it's about our new assignment." The shipment will be delivered later. Twelve midnight to be exact. And we need to stop them before it's too late. 300 children are in danger." Michael Angelo's jaw clenched to what he had heard. Their new assignment is very dangerous. It was led by a very huge syndicate. Drugs, human trafficking, kidnapping, name it that is the business of the number one drug lord and a well known politician here in the Philippines. This man is also planning to run for president of the said country. And as an agent they will need to stop this syndicate. Michael Angelo and Yohan will be the team leader of the said Assignment as they are both Filipinos. Their supervisor will lead them, but he can't come to the Philippines as he has also an assignment in the US and that is to protect the US president.

" Okay I'll come." Michael said.

"Where are you going?" He turned around to see who owns the voice, and it turns out that it was his fiancé.

His face become soften. "Hey Agent A. Who's that ---" He immediately dropped the call when she saw Athena's brow knitted.

"It was my friend Yohan. He is asking me to come to his condo and join him tour the metro… He. said he wants to buy some groceries and things for his unit. Do you want to come?" He asked. Say no please say no. He thought to himself.

"Nah it's okay. I have a school early morning tomorrow, I don't want to be late." Athena shook her head. Great! He said to himself. "Okay. I'll come by to pick you up in your house tomorrow. Is it okay with you?" He said.

Startled Athena just nod her head she cannot say a single word, she blushed on the thought that someone will pick her up and drop her to school. What a romantic boyfriend. Wait what? She shook her head in that thought.
