We only watched his form without doing anything about it. Even if I tried to save him from this terror that he was giving himself to and was going to regret later, I wasn't allowed to step from the black border that Lucas had created on the ground in front of me. If I stepped on it, my very heart would feel like it was going to melt or burn from the heat shock that was sent my way.

I could only back away and hiss as my brother figure went for my previously beloved's neck. The trap had been perfectly made for me and any other being who could control powers similar to him. Yet it was irking that I had been left out from a duel that had started because of me.

"You touched my woman," Aidan roared and cried after he clashed his glass sword against Lucas' metallic one. "How dare you fight to take her from me when she belongs to me?"
