Chapter 5: The Apocalypse Gives Out Names

After a quick session of thinking, Rimuru and Acnologia concluded that Acnologia needs a strong body that can host his soul and powers, a body like the Fanged Alpha wolf managed to hold him for an hour, so, now they need a stronger body, strong enough to hold him for days.
"Hey, You. Have you seen any strong monster that we can hunt?" Acnologia asked. The chief of the Goblins and Wolves looked at Acnologia at the same time.
"I am talking to the wolf." Acnologia clarified.
"No my Lord, I have not. We did not leave our territory for years, so we haven't encountered one yet." The Fanged wolf responded.
"Hmm...How about you, chief?" He then asked again. "Grr! Goblin chief." Since Acnologia has no hands or face that can indicate where he is looking, it hard to communicate without being specific.
"No my Lord, we are as weak as you can see, the strongest monsters we have faced are the Fanged Wolves." The weak chief spoke with a trembling body, Acnologia can swear that he will fall any moment now.
"I see...Fine then, will look around later." Acnologia said. He looked at Rimuru and "This is gonna be a hassle to work this village around." He said.
"Well, no one here has a name to begin with, communication may be a bit difficult." Rimuru added. It then struck him "I know! Why don't we name them?!" He suggested.
The thought of that sounded like pain and boredom to Acnologia.
"Eh?!" The Chiefs of the Goblins and Wolves were shocked "Are you sure, my Lord?" They looked at Acnologia without for his response. "But to name this many..." Goblin chief had some worries.
Acnologia thought for a moment "...It will save us some troubles. Okay, both of you can go name your won people." Acnologia said.
"I am afraid that cannot be." The Goblin chief shook his head slowly "To name a monster you need magical energy, and only our master can name us."
The wolf chief wagged his tail "Indeed my Lord! With names, monsters can even grow stronger."
Hearing this, Acnologia was surprised 'Oh! So that was that with Veldora...' Thinking back about when Veldora gave him his name, he felt a wave of magical energy that fused with him and made him feel stronger.
"Now this is motivating, at least you can be stronger from all this trouble." Acnologia said.
Rimuru confirmed "A step forward for this village to be able to defend itself."
"...But all these Goblins and Wolves....I don't think I can come up with all those names today." Acnologia mumbled.
"No worries, I have an idea." Rimuru said. He looked at the two chiefs and spoke "Gather everyone around the center of the village."
Acnologia and Rimuru got everyone around and they named each monster one by one.
With the help of Rimuru, Acnologia named each monster.
Rimuru came up with some good names. For instance, The Goblin Chief was named Rigurdo, after the name of his son. The Wolves Chief was Named Ranga which meant Storm or Tempest.
After the naming was done. A crazy phenomena happened, every monster in town was coated in a black Misama of magic. According to Great Sage, the Monster are going through evolution after being named by Acnologia and consuming his magic essence.
In about an hour, everyone came out. The goblins became taller, stronger, more human-like. The crazy thing was Rigurdo who came out like a bodybuilder, gone is the old man and welcome to the young Chief.
The Wolves grow bigger and their grey fur turned jet black.
The most notable and common between the two group of monsters was the Blue Tribal tattoos growing on their bodies, each monster had a different tattoo.
While some had only one shape of tattoo on their bodies, some had a full body of tattoo.
"This is crazy!!" Rimuru exclaimed. "Great Sage says they are taking after you." He said to Acnologia.
"Hm? Why?" It was a new concept to Acnologia, monsters growing strong by giving them name. So strange.
"According to the great Sage, When a monster is named by their master, he is often evolved into a stronger race if the master is strong enough, in that process, they can grow a resemblance to their master.... something like being marked." Rimuru said.
"So the Blue Tattoos..."
"I remember that your Wolf body had Blue Tattoos too." Rimuru recalled.
"Yeah....As long as they grow stronger, it is fine. This way they don't have to always rely on us and can fight for themselves." Acnologia hummed in confirmation.
Soon, the Goblins and Wolves-- No, the Hobo-Hoblins and Storm Wolves woke up from their daze and they payed their master their respect.
....
Inside of Rimuru's stomach, a certain Catastrophe Class Dragon was watching all this with amazement "That Acnologia, He named all of those monsters into evolution yet he did not lose his magic core strength, neither did he go Mind Down...Kukuki...Kuhaha....Kuhaha!! As expected and of my Brother, nothing short of the Tempest Family!!!"
"...I wanna go outside..."
