Chapter 238: Pretty Dumb

She sat out in the cold, gawping at the white pellets dropping from the sky. The crystals slapped against the leaf blades which clustered near the ground. They glowed a brilliant shine, beaming more happily than she was. Victoria kept at the view, spectating such heavenly beauty. Her expression was gloomy. Her eyelids sagged low like she'd been crying for hours. Her mouth dried up and her skin washed a sickly pale. She steered her eyes away from them and stared at the whiteness of the huge walls instead.

''Princess Victoria, your features scare me.'' Meredith inspected her features and cringed back from the horrid view. ''Pray, should I go and fetch you the Palace nurse? You look so frail and it breaks my heart.''

''Meredith… ''

''Yes, my Princess.''

Her eyelids flurried repeatedly because of how Victoria startled her with her long stare. 

''Have you ever heard of a human nurse tending to the needs of a vampire?''
