First soul and merchant

Hakuin stared in shock at the spell he had gained, the dark hand. A forbidden technique passed down through the land of hollows. To drain and steal the humanity of a person. While being able to be used as a shield.

Soon after accepting on having the dark hand infused with his hand. A scorching pain instantly assaulted his nerve system while clenching his teeth after a minute that felt like an eternity had passed. The pain soon settles down while gripping his hand trying to feel the difference between his old hand. His thought was soon broken when he heard voices coming from the path that the apprentices had just taken before.

Hakuin decided to hide underneath the bodies while hearing the apprentices converse among themselves. Hakuin decided to listen in and trying to see what he should plan next.

One apprentice spoke to the other while chuckling "more and more refugees are escaping in our 'fake little village' idiot don't know they will be a sacrifice to our lord Jashin.

The other apprentice replies to his friend "I heard that the shinobi land is going to unite against the land of fire."

The apprentice shakes his hand while looking around "whatever, as long we can sacrifice people to our lord Jashin. Let haul this last group of the body and call it a day."

Hakuin ponders the news he had heard and whether to head next to gather strength. He soon takes notice of the apprentice being left alone while his friend went off to collect some bodies to carry. Seeing that this is his chance to test out the hand of darkness.

Hakuin begins to approach the unaware apprentice. Once reaching behind his back, hakuin grabs at the apprentice's neck while his dark hand is inserted upon the apprentice's facing. Causing the apprentice to struggle with all his might trying to break free. Hakuin pulls at the apprentice's face with his dark hand causing a white glow to appear.

The apprentice's eyes start to sunken in while his body starts to shrivel up like a mummy body. Hakuin tosses the shrivel-up body to the floor while holding a white firm ball on his dark hand. The white ball sunk into his body while a ding is heard as a faint number 40 appeared on his wrist.

Unable to make out of the numbers, Hakuin soon heard of rushing footsteps. Realizing the ruckus he had made the footsteps came from the apprentice companion. The apprentice rushed towards Hakuin with a short steel sword as he took a big swing at Hakuin.

In the heat of the moment, hakuin raises his dark hand in panic as he sees a faint translucent shield appear. The apprentice thinking that hakuin had given up gives a cruel smirk as he swings at him. The sword never came down as the blade came to a stop. The sword soon bounces off as it hit the shield. The apprentice soon falls on his rear due to the lack of skill and balance.

Hakuin slowly walked towards the apprentice who was scrambling while begging to be left off. But in return, all he got from Hakuin was a dark red hand against his face. Soon after his mind went dark, while hakuin checked his wrist of the number going up to 80.

Feeling a bit lost while staring at the midnight sky. Has he begin to walk towards somewhere he could rest. While walking he decided to make a makeshift campfire, he soon drifts off to sleep. Once abruptly waking he soon sees an old lady dress in rags while wearing a black hood covering half of her face.

Hakuin scrambles to his feet while warily asking "who are you?!"

A raspy voice came from the woman while chuckling "ah, a poor lost hollow. Having to bear the curse, forever seeking warmth from the embers."

She continues while greedily smelling the air "you seem to have some soul to trade. Why don't you give some soul? For some items? Maybe armor and weapon to just delay your demise?" as she flicks her hand showing a lot of items.

CREATORS' THOUGHTS

Sorry about the short chapter, I just have a lot of things to do at home. So I'll release part 2 when I can. Enjoy! Also, I haven't decided which Novel I'll choose. I might just keep continuing the way I am
