Chapter 19: Chapter 19 Worlds Apart

"Ambrose, darling wake up... Rose..." With a groan, I stirred and slowly, my eyes opened up, squinting at the rays of the sun that were blinding me until eventually, my hazy mind began to calm down and repeat the scenarios of everything that just happened.

Aria dying, me dying, meeting that weirdo...

It all came rushing back and I gasped, snapping my eyes open and jumping up into a sitting position. A quiet yelp was heard, an all too familiar voice and I froze.

I was in our bed... in our house, the sun was annoyingly peeking through the red curtains, the grandpa clock was quietly ticking away in the background... and beside me...

Slowly, I turned my head, wide-eyed to see my beautiful wife wrapped up in the silk bed sheets, sat on the bed with a glare and cute pout on her face, the familiar little crinkle near her brows when she made that face.

"Aria..." I whispered, almost fearful to reach out for her.
