Chapter 10: A Phone Call
"Although you're just a stranger, I will try my best to help you." Zane's bright, beautiful smile grabbed a lot of customer's attention before he shoved his arm slightly and released from David's tug. As for David- She was smart enough to know now that he said this, she has to be sure that he doesn't remember her from his past at all, or…. He just wants to forget her and start a new relationship.
Whatever he wants, she will let him achieve. After all, she also doesn't want to recall the past in front of him now. At least, not now…
"David, let's go." Zane softly said and David- she snapped back to the reality.

The 7 inches long phone of Zane vibrated as it was charging on the dashboard. He slowed the car and took his phone before he looked at the white-haired girl beside him, whose gazes were currently out of the car.
Zane's one hand is holding the phone. It placed the other hand on the stirring wheel. His gaze went back to his phone's screen. It was Manager Brad who called him.
He furrowed his brows in confusion. Manager Brad never calls him, what could be the reason. With a face filled with confusing emotions, Zane tried to analyze the situation. And in no second, something clicked in his mind and he widened his eyes. It must be something related to David!
With no hesitation, Zane poked the girl beside him and saw the young lady turning in his direction with a muddled expression.
"It's Manager Brad, I think he wants to talk about you." He whispered slowly before accepting the call. It startled David at first, but then she tilted her head towards Zane, her left ear facing him. In the meantime, Zane slowed the car and parked it in a corner.
"Hello, Mr Sinclair?" the old cracked voice grabbed the attention of the two heads as the young man turned on the speaker.
"Yes, Manager Brad?" Zane responded as he again looked at David.
"Is Ms Wallace with you? If so, please do tell her to pick my phone calls." David immediately pulled out her phone and came to know that her phone is out of battery after clicking the power button several times. Her lips turned into a tight line as she shrugged at Zane.
"Oh, it seems like that her phone was out of battery." Zane snatched her phone from her hold and placed it beside him, penetrating the cable inside her phone while holding Manager Brad on the call.
"I see. Well, I have called to inform you two of something important. The current situation in the dormitory is chaos. Everyone here is facing the dilemma that either they have seen the legendary girlfriend of yours or it was just a delusion." Brad paused, they can clearly hear the sounds of people chattering on his side, "So I think you two should take this chance to make everything chaos-free."
The young man's lips parted as he looked at the girl beside him. Apparently, her eyes were widened like his and her jaws gaped.
"Yes please, Manager Brad! We will take this chance. And I know what will be the right thing to do in this case!" A devilish smirk appeared on the perfect face of Zane Sinclair as he hung up on the call and placed his phone beside David's.
Seeing his expression, little did David know that this idea of his, that would cause some of the mess to attempt. She gulped subconsciously.

"Oh, my good god! Where is the drop-dead gorgeous from before?! All I can see now is a handsome boy in front of me, with perfect cute features!!!" The make-up artist, Marcelo squealed in enthusiasm as he saw David coming out of the dressing room, wearing a big brown baggy hoodie, with grey pants.
Her clothes were so big that her curves were nowhere to be seen. And it trussed her hair with a brown wig. The brown bangs were covering almost half of her forehead. She was now completely looking like a 17-year-old the-cute-boy-next-door type guy.
David's jaw dropped once she stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling mirror. Well, her expression was worth it to her current appearance.
All the time, a pair of emerald eyes followed her since she left the dressing room. He was sitting on the side luxury red couch, waiting for her to get out of the dressing room. The young man's head was resting on one hand, as his arm was on his knee.
The moment he saw her coming out, his eyes went huge as his ears started burning and turned red. He quickly covered his face with his free hand and removed his gaze instantly. Holy Sh!t what on earth is the problem with him? Why is he reacting like this when he saw David dressed up as a boy? Nope, this is absurd. How will David react if she came to know that his face is burning and turning only because he saw her dressed up as a BOY?!
The normal people will think that he's gay at this point. Of course, he's blushing that hard only because he saw a girl, now camouflaged as a boy. Nope, not only 'a' boy, she's the cutest boy he has ever seen. He swears.
"Z-Zane? Is this okay?" David softly asked as she looked at the seated young man, who was now covering his face and had his head tilted away from her. For the god-knows-what reason.
Trying his best to control his goddamn emotions, he firmly shook his head horizontally, without removing his hand out of his face.
"Nope, this is definitely NOT okay." Words escaped his mouth as he stood up, leaving Marcelo, the makeup artist's face, a huge expression of disappointment.

I still can't believe Zane literally blushed that hard only to see the cute boy version of David. *puts hands on the waist* Then how will he manage himself when he sees her in- perhaps a sexy dress? *pinches nose bridge and shakes head* such a disappointment, Zane.
