Chapter 6: A David And Her Heart

"Who said it was a slip of a tongue?" David's eyes widened at his answer, as for Zane -he was smirking.

Afterward, he grabbed her arm and pulled her towards him. In a flash, she was pinned against the soft bed. He was on top of her.

Their faces were inches apart until- "You know, I can make that statement of mine true through many ways. So that no one can doubt us." He said in a raspy voice.

It still shocked David to what is happening and what Zane is doing to make things happen. Her eyes were glued to his. It was looking like they were having a staring contest. After some seconds, which felt like an eternity, Zane broke the eye contact and got off her as he cracked in a laugh. David blinked twice and her eyes followed him, curling up in laughter beside her.

"Zane? What was that?" That was all she can say. She was still in a stoic position.

"I was joking," He got up and sat beside David facing her, "Pfft! it seems like you were very much shocked." He giggled.

"Isn't that obvious? What would be my expression if someone pins me down against a bed and trying to flirt out of nowhere?" David got up hesitantly, softly laughing in disbelief. "Did you expect me to cry or laugh happily as a reaction to your act?" she asked as she narrowed her in doubt and looked at his emerald, gem-like, beautiful eyes.

"Still your reaction was worth it," Zane's gaze went back to her light brown big eyes. He chuckled a little.

"Yeah, you keep laughing, and I am going to report your actions to the manager." David gave him a cute, devilish smile before she got up, reaching out to the door. Startled, Zane didn't know what to do.

"W-wait!" he grabbed her hand from the back and pulled her. In no time, David was back in his arms. The distance between the two faces is inches apart.

However, this time, both of their faces were filled with shock. Their gazes met, and the moment felt like forever. David was so close to him she could hear his heart going crazy. Not to mention that she could hear her own heart going mad, too.

David was going to have her stomach feel butterflies until…the cell phone of Zane vibrated from his pocket, which broke the full energy of the moment.

Zane quickly released her hand and looked away. He was blushing for sure. David was still in immense shock.

"I'll take this call, and I will wait for you outside. Let's grab a coffee at the café and discuss that matter you mentioned earlier." Without looking at her, Zane quickly pulled into the drawer of the side table and took his car keys. In no time, Zane was out of the room.

All that was left in the room was David Wallace and her crazy heart racing like hell.

"Put on seat belts" His husky voice poked David's ears as she quickly took the seat belts and put them on.

After Zane left her and her heart alone in the room, she was busy calming her heart down. It took her almost 10 minutes before she realized what was happening. She quickly took her jacket from the hook and set her foot outside of room 303. It was 6:30 AM, and the place was silent as ever.

David kept walking down the hallway and recalling what happened a few minutes ago in that dorm.

She knew exactly why Zane did the pinning on the bed and teasing her; he wanted to break the ice between them so that they will become more comfortable around each other. Just like he did 7 years ago, he the one to approach her and break the ice.

She sighed at that thought. It seems like Zane doesn't remember her anymore, or could be it. He doesn't 'want' to remember that black-haired David from his childhood anymore. David let out a deep sigh as she again held her white hair.

The first act was sure intentionally. She can see its obviousness. But the second time he again pulled her, it seems like Zane wasn't aware of his actions too. She could hear his heart racing, too. The thought of hearing his heartbeats made David grip her chest, trying to calm her heart down.

David whiffed her head and calmed down. She turned right and saw some stair steps which led downwards. Hurriedly, David stepped down the stairs and when she reached the last floor, she knew she was now in the massive garage of the central 'Boy's' dormitory.

There weren't enough cars though, just some jeeps, normal-looking cars. Among them, a sleek bottle green colored car grabbed her attention. She could see a heavenly aura coming from that car, and a tall familiar figure was standing there looking at her with an angelic smile on his face.

David's enormous eyes widened as she recognized the tall person, and her jaw dropped when she recognized the brand of the car, which was beside him.
