Drake climbed the stairs with Hope in his arms, looking ahead. She studied his elongated chin and probably wondered what he was thinking. Well, he was torn between having the night he had planned for since the beginning or telling her the truth that was eating him up on the inside.

The Draconian still pondered over this decision even when he entered their room. He put down Hope and scanned her face to see if she was happy or angry about the surprise wedding. Her eyes invited him over as she made a step back further away from him.

Drake took a step forward and let the door swing shut behind him, unable to wait any longer. The floor creaked beneath his feet, and he was about to look down, but she took his breath away. With a single magical movement, she had twisted her body and her garment had vanished!
