Chapter 67: Golden Lockets

Hope didn't hear the knock on the door. She was at the window, looking out into the village. As her thoughts traveled towards Drake, she grew increasingly anxious. She had seen him leaving the village with that woman, Agatha. 

People were going about their daily lives. Life seemed to be the same as it always was. But Hope was in a strange mood. Everything looked bleak and lifeless since Drake left. Her thoughts of him were still strong inside her mind. In fact, he was the only thing she could think about.

Hope's gaze moved towards the path he took when leaving the village. She thought that if she could concentrate enough, she would be able to see him. Drake appeared before her eyes, but it was just a memory. She couldn't touch a faint reminiscence; she wanted the real Drake to be there again.
