"You killed your own man for me? Why did you do that knowing it would create another fight?" Qihe asked while sitting next to her.

"I didn't have any choice. I had to protect you."

"But you hadn't marked me before that so was it that hard for you to leave me?"

"Vampires don't easily fall in love, especially with a human. You were too important for me that my emotions got mixed up. All I could do was to protect you against all the danger." Shea sighed.

'But Peter... he was one among you."

"Yes and that's the exact reason why I have been searching for you all along. I was scared if they would do something to you but I knew you were safe as long as I am alive." Shea chuckled looking at him.

'Is that why you were not attacking me? You were trying to protect me all along?" Qihe asked astonished.

'Hmm." Shea nodded.

'So the kill? In the mansion?"
