Chapter 180: Queen of the Night

Amelia's POV: 

I tried hard to give a reply to the Siren Queen, who was frowning at me now. But all the words got stuck in my throat. What can I possibly say to her? 

By my prolonged silence, she understood what actually had happened. It was evident from her gaze that she was upset. Still, she concealed her distress from her face and looked at the girls who were now gossiping about Theo. 

"My fellow Sirens," she shouted and silenced the whole island. "Now, it's not the time for chit-chat. The Goddess Selene is waiting for us. Let the ritual begin!"

The Siren Queen then clasped her hands together and began to chant. The rest of the girls mimicked her gesture and chanted along with her. 

"Goddess Selene, you are the Queen of Night

 With your Silver rays, you are shining bright

 With your enchanted beauty, you made our

 land bright; Thank you for your generosity!"
