Celestia's POV:
Ember took me out for a walk in the meadows. I was astonished by the beauty of this place. The grasses were green, and the air was filled with the aroma of the beautiful red flowers. But I wasn't able to decipher what flower it was.
I turned to Ember and asked her, " What flower is this?"
"Oh, that's a Peonilla," she replied. "It is the most common flowers that grow in the Lowlands."
I gazed at her blankly and blurted out, "Lowlands. What are the Lowlands?"
"I am sorry again, Celestia. I forgot that you are not familiar with this place. This is the Celestial Realm! And right now, you are in the valley. This is where the Mages and Witches live."
She then motioned her hands to the mountains and said, "Those are Celestial Highlands, and that is where the Fae live. Those regions are a dozen times prettier than this one."
So the name of this realm is Celestial? And my name is Celestia! Am I named after this place? But why? They could have given me a cool name like Ember.
"Ember, can you please tell me why they named me after this realm?"
She gave me an odd look and said, "Because you are our Guardian angel. You are like the source of all the power. Even the Fae King Oberon wasn't able to access your abilities. Once you use your full potential, you will be able to do things beyond your imagination."
I was getting anxious. These people think that I am some kind of deity. But I feel like a fraud.
"I can't do this," I screamed. " I am not the Goddess you're all looking for. I need to go back to Earth."
"Celestia, you belong here!"
"No, you all don't understand," I cried out. " I am trying hard to resist myself."
"I don't follow you. What are you resisting?"
"My thirst," I screamed. " I am so thirsty, and all I want to do is suck the blood off your neck. But I am controlling myself. And now you say that I am some kind of deity. How can a Half-Demon like me become a deity?"
I started sprinting away from her. If they are not going to send me back to Earth, then I will find a way for that by myself.
"Celestia, you have crossed the Invisible Barrier. Please come back in," Ember shouted.
She is doing it again. She is always speaking in a language I don't understand. " What the hell is a barrier," I said and ran away from her.
"It is the shield that can conceal you from the dark forces."
I stopped in my tracks and turned to her. " So are you saying that the demon Silver Shadow will get me now?"
She nodded. "It is possible. So please come back in."
"Try and catch me," I said and started running away from her faster. I used my vampire capabilities to sprint a bit more quickly. She wasn't able to match my speed.
I would not have stopped if I hadn't heard the roar of a lion. I froze in my tracks and looked around. What the hell was that? Is there a zoo here nearby?
A few seconds later, a creature like Lion appeared in front of me. As it got closer, I realized that it wasn't a Lion. It had the face of a human and the body of a Lion. The creature even had wings like a bat.
"It is a Manticore," Ember yelled. " Runaway from here, Celestia!"
When I tried to move, the creature started to spit out fire from its mouth. The flame almost hit me, but Ember helped me to dodge out of it.
"Celestia, run away from here. I'll cover for you," she screamed. "A mage like me can't take down a Manticore. But still, I am willing to take my chances because your life is more valuable than mine."
I can't believe what she just said. Is she willing to sacrifice her life for me?
"No, I am not leaving you alone with this creature," I announced. " You don't have to make such a sacrifice for me. I am not worth it."
"Celestial, you are our only hope. If we lose you, then we lose everything."
As she was saying that, the creature was getting close to me. Suddenly, I got an overwhelming sensation of determination in me. I got up from the ground and faced the monster.
It spat out balls of fire at me again. I instinctively raised my hands. Something like golden sparks of light flew out of my hand, and it dissolved the fire that was about to hit me. What am I doing?
The creature got alert. I took advantage of the situation, and I fired more sparks at it. After the beast git hit by my sparks multiple times, it fell on the ground.
But my sparks didn't seem to burn the monster. It just got stunned instead. How is this possible? Sparks always tend to burn things!
Then I recalled what Ember said to me a while ago. She told me that my powers are too complex to understand. So she was right about me. I am the Dawn!
But I was still thirsty. I leaped on the monster and sank my fangs deep into its neck. The creature's blood was more than enough to quench my appetite.
Ember was watching everything in complete wonderment. I know that she would be judging me for being a monster, but I didn't care. I didn't stop until the creature was completely drained out of the blood.
"Celestia, that was amazing," Ember said. I didn't expect her to compliment me. My face and clothes were drenched in blood. I look like a monster now! How could she even say that I am amazing?
"You got your spark back. This is huge!"
"Yeah, but I also fed on the beast. That doesn't bother you?"
She shook her head abruptly and said, "You are not going to be a Vampire forever. Once you regain your true self, you will be breaking the curse."
Did she say that I can be alleviated of the curse? That is unbelievable!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We both went back to the cottage after that. Ember was proudly telling everyone about what I did in the meadows. And they all were delighted! No one was bothered that I sucked the blood out of a creature.
"Celestia, I am so happy for you," my aunt said. " You are slowly regaining your angel powers."
I shrugged off and asked her, "Why do I feel like I don't deserve any of this?"
"It's because you don't know who you are. And it is time that you know about yourself," she declared.
"No, you already told me that a lot of times. I get it that I was an Angel warrior and blah blah-"
"Celestia, you are going to relive your past life in your vision. Your aura is going to tell your story to you."
My jaw dropped down as I heard what she said. "Is it…is….it possible?"
"Yea, we are all going to put an illuminating spell on you. It will take a lot of energy, but five of us will be doing the deed. All you have to do is lie down on the ground and close your eyes. After you relive your past life, you will eventually wake up."
As much as I felt nervous about the whole thing, I think that it is the best shot I got in getting clarity about myself.
"Okay. Bring it on!"
Celestia's POV:
Daviana made me lie down on the cool grass of the meadow. Ember sprinkled Peonilla flowers on me. Are they trying to bury me alive here? But I didn't question them about anything as I thought that it would be rude. They both seemed to know their way around.
"Close your eyes, Celestia," my aunt whispered. " Your aura is going to tell you everything that you need to know."
At first, I didn't feel anything. My mind felt blank. I completely forgot who I was. I am a new person now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was standing on the top of the cliff and admiring the sun rising above the waters. I like the way the sea waves keep crashing on the rocks. This is my favorite place in this whole realm. This place gives me peace that nothing else could offer me.
I don't know why I am attached so much to this sea. A part of me wants to cross the sea and find out what is on the other side. But my father Oberon forbade me from doing that. He made me promise that I will never even dip my finger on this water. And once I promise something, I don't break it.
After a while, my ten Fathomless Fae warriors arrived at the cliff. They all bowed to me. I waited for them to return to their normal posture.
"May the Dawn bring us salvation," they all chanted at once.
I told them many times that I didn't need to be respected as a deity, but they are just not listening to me. I always considered them as my warrior friends. Sometimes I get hurt that they don't acknowledge me as a friend.
"My fellow warriors," I shouted out. " I am so proud of you all. All ten of you have nurtured your powers and increased your capabilities. I can say out proudly that you're all ready to face Lilith's shadow troops now. So I now officially declare you all as the Elite Fathomless warriors."
They all started cheering and applauding at the accomplishment they made.
"Okay, now, it's time that I announce the leader of the clan," I said out. " The warrior I choose will guide his fellow knights during my absence or in a crisis."
Everyone knew who was going to be their leader even before I announced it. I didn't have to call out his name. Still, I should make an official declaration in front of the warrior clan.
"Edwin, please step forward to take your pledge," I declared.
Edwin came to me and got down on one knee. " I accept the responsibility. I swear on the Holy God Aiden that I will forever be loyal to the Fae King. My allegiance lies to the Golden Dawn forever. I won't even hesitate to sacrifice my life while I am in pursuit of Lilith's shadow troops."
I took out my sword Defender from my sheath and placed the sword onto his right shoulder. Then I raised the sword over his head and touched the blade on his left shoulder.
Edwin got up from the ground and took out his dagger. He then sliced his palm with the sharp blade of the dagger and let his blood drop down on the green grass to honor Mother Nature.
Exactly at that moment, a portal appeared in front of us. I got curious! Did something happen in the court?
Fae King Oberon's son Darius got out of the portal. Darius is also my mentor, and he knighted me the same way I did to Edwin.
" Celestia, I need your warriors right now. Our enemies are trying to steal the moonstone," Darius said in an anxious tone.
Our enemies are trying to steal the moonstone?! It must be the work of Lilith's shadow troops. She never lets me take a rest.
"Okay, you can borrow them," I said and tried to walk through the portal.
"Celestia!" Darius screamed and made me stop right in my tracks. "You are not supposed to come with us. It's not safe for you."
Is he mocking me? But his expression was serious.
"Darius, I am an angel warrior born to protect this realm. And you say that it is not safe for me to face my opponents?"
He glanced at me uncomfortably and said, " Yes, you are our guardian angel, and your purpose is to destroy Lilith. But what is happening now is entirely irrelevant to your purpose. It is better if you do not get involved in this."
"I don't understand! If Lilith is not attacking the Highlands, then who else is doing it? Who dares to strike the Fae kind?"
Darius shook his head. "I can't say that to you, Celestia. Father forbid me from saying his name to you. He told me that you should never know about him."
I was getting more and more curious. I always thought that we had only one rival, Lilith the Demon Queen! But there is someone else too?! And it is a man?!
"I am going through the portal. I need to know about this mystery rival," I said and walked through the golden yellow portal door that Darius had opened.
"Celestia! Wait. Don't leave now," Darius shouted behind me, but I ignored him completely.
I was in the Northern Mountain region. Far away from me, a few Fae troopers were battling with a tall man. I wasn't able to see his face as he hid it with the white cloak. Who is he? I have never seen him before.
Is he a fae or mage? If he is evil, then why is he wearing a white cloak? The color white always symbolizes purity!
"Celestia," Darius mumbled and stood beside. "You should have never come here. Our father is going to be furious at me."
I wasn't listening to his words as I was more focused on the exotic man. I started stepping in his direction. I was fascinated by the strength he had in him.
There were a total of five Fae troopers, but they all yielded to him in a minute. Five of them are incapable of taking down a single man? I have never seen this much power in any Fae! But is he a Fae? I don't think that he is! He can't be a Mage too. They are not this potent!
The exotic man then turned in my direction. I gripped my sword firmly as he got closer to me. I thought he was going to attack me, but he didn't.
Instead, he knelt on the ground in front of me and bowed his head. His gesture stunned me. Then he placed the moonstone in front of my feet.
" You have captivated me by your beauty," he said in a powerful musical voice. "Please imprison me!"
I have never heard a voice like this. I feel so calm and relaxed now. I want to see his face now.
" Your wish is my command," he announced and unveiled his face.
But I never said that aloud. Can he read my mind too? Even my father, Oberon, can't read my mind without any physical contact. So this man must be even more powerful than my father.
I wasn't able to stop staring at his gorgeous face and his alluring sea-green eyes. What is happening to me? I instantly felt guilty for admiring him. This is against my vows. I closed my eyes immediately. I can't adore a man's appearance like this.
