Chapter 146: Belmont's Anxiety

  Currently, Geralt was pacing back and forth in his office. He's been sleepless and he doesn't know what he should do with Kennedy. His son was the one who put them in those bars and he didn't know how much Maverick could do. Even though he's Maverick's real father, he wasn't given any chances. His business with the Kennedy will go to waste if they would be put in the bars. 

"Father!" His son Vince entered. "Tell me what to do. I can't let Eloiza stay in that filthy prison!" 

  Eloiza was indeed betrothed to Vince, his firstborn to his second wife. But, somehow when Maverick became a Duke, Eloiza cut off the engagement to be with a Duke. After all, Eloiza was Maverick's playmate back then. He just doesn't understand why his son hates him so much. Probably because of his wife, now.
