Chapter 100: Criminals

"How do you know my name?" Wang Jingyuan was shocked. It was never good when the enemy knew more about you than you knew about them. "Who exactly are you?!"

The masked man ignored her questions. "That's enough chatting. You said you wanted to talk it out. Alright. Drop your weapons, all of you, and we can talk." 

"In your dreams! You're going to make a run for it!" Xiao-Wu saw right through his trickery.

"You refuse?" The masked man's gaze turned cold. He choked the old woman in his grasp with his blade more. A thin line of blood appeared on her neck. 

The old man screamed. "No! My wife! Young heroes, please, my wife!"

Wang Jingyuan gritted her teeth. What should she do? What should she do? Her sword trembled. 

The masked man tsked his tongue. "Too slow. I gave you your chance." His blade flashed in the sunlight, much too fast for them to react. The old woman hit the floor with a thump as her blood splattered the dirt.
