Chapter 23: The wolf in sheep's clothing.

"It's 7. I should go home." I said while packing my bag.

"Why don't you have a sleepover here? It's getting late." He said.

"It's fine. I have my notes at home and there must be dinner ready." I said with a smile.

"Okkay then. Go safe."

I nodded my head in agreement. I came out of his house and rode my bike to my house. The door was locked, I opened it with the spare keys I have and went into my room. I went into the bathroom to take shower after keeping my bag in its place. I came out and went downstairs. I didn't find mum in the living room.

I went towards the dining table and found a stick note on the table beside the packed food.

"I'm going to your Aunt's house. Her health isn't good. I will be back by tomorrow. The food's prepared, heat it before eating. Take care."
