Chapter 166: Chapter 156 Spectre... lol what spectre
So the kids just finished taking down the Hoppard with relative ease in under 10 seconds. Granted, it's only a D Rank monster, but you have to remember that these kids are only around 10 years old, give or take a couple of years.
This is amazing progress and they could also be called geniuses in their own fields.
Indeed, Jeff is a great teacher despite his prick-like tendencies.
Illory- "Rimuru-sensei really is a great teacher!"
Ukya- "Right? He instantly pointed out all our flaws!"
Elizabeth- "He also knows about chantless magic!"
The kids talk among themselves but with my enhanced senses, I can easily hear them.
I'm liking these kids more and more.
Rimuru- "Hey, a question. Why did you want to demonstrate all this to me in the first place?"
They said they wanted to "show off" to me, but I don't know why.
Anne- "Well… The S Class was notorious for chasing away most teachers that were sent to teach them. Even Jeff-sensei and Tiss-sensei were chased away…"
Even those two? Now that's surprising…
Anne continued to explain things along with the rest of the kids, but in short, they wanted to live up to Jeff's expectations by earning a high score on the test. To do that, showing that they can work together, kill monsters, and protect me while finishing the event quickly is a must.
There was something else too.
Oloy- "Jeff-sensei also talks about you a lot, so we- *Mphh*!"
Oloy, the kid with the choppy haircut, began talking but the rest of the kids quickly covered his mouth. It seems that was a little secret of Jeff's.
But still, Jeff talks about me, huh? I hope they're good things. No, I'm pretty sure they are, otherwise Illya would hear about it somehow and shave off his moustache.

Illya- "*Cute loli sneeze*"

Rimuru- "Riiight… Well! It's getting late, we should probably turn in for the night."

Rimuru- "WE'RE HEEEEEERE!"

We're in the town of… I forgot the name.
Oh, Guratol! That's the name!
Right, we're in the town of Guratol, finally! This stupid outdoor event is nearly over and all that's left is to explore some dumb cave and go home.
Yes, I'm getting frustrated by this. At least I could keep my sanity with games and other such things I created with [Ahura Mazda] *cough* hentai *cough*.
I also dealt with making all the food because, let's be honest, with this cheat skill any food I make becomes godlike.
(A/N: Meatbuns have already transcended "godlike".)
So yeah, we're at Guratol and now we gotta meet with the Count because he's the one who's dealing with all of the accommodations for the event.
*BOOM!*
Now, from dealing with these kinds of sounds all the time back in Avalon, especially when Milim was still there, I can tell that this wasn't exactly an explosion, but from two things colliding at high speeds.
I look in the direction of the impact. It came from a pretty big mountain.
Rimuru- "… I'm going to take a wild guess and say that mountain is where the final stage of the event will take place?"
Anne- "Yup! We went there last year. But which class arrived before us…?"
Probably Illya and the rest of the kids.
As much as I would like to just teleport to their side and instakill whatever they are facing, I can't just do that in front of the A Class kids.
Instead, I use [Universal Perception] to take a peek.
Inside the mountain is a large manmade cave system of sorts. It looks like a mine that you would walk into with pickaxes.
In the deeper parts, I can see Illya, Kenya, Ryota, Gale, Alice, Chloe and even Tiss standing there facing a… thing.
It looks like a knockoff predator. Seriously, I'm not joking. It's standing in a large crater, so it probably caused that impact sound when it appeared…
Standing beside the kids are "people" who look a little familiar-
Hey, hang on! These are the guys that messed with me at the Dwargon Gate! You know, the ones I turned into magical girls!
They're standing there in all their magical girl glory, pointing their plastic magical girl wants at the Spectre, shouting something about "evil beast", "magic of friendship" and "magical girl powah".
Tiss is looking at them with wary eyes, whispering to the kids that they shouldn't become like them under any circumstances.

Illya flinches just a bit before she looks towards the place where I'm looking in from with a smile.
Did she find me already?
???- "Kakaka! Write in fear! You puny humans have no hope against me, a Spectre!"
The predator knockoff spouts some more generic evil dialogue.
Kenya- "Woah, generic evil dialogue."
Kenya mimics my thought process. I nod in pride.
I taught these guys well…
This Spectre is around B Rank, maybe even A Rank. With the gear I gave them, they should be able to handle it, so I'm not that worried.
Alice- "Hey, Ken! Don't interrupt! I wanted to see what a common villain like him would say!"
Alice should from her position behind Kenya with multiple kunai floating around her. The Spectre has a couple of veins pop on its head from the conversation between them.
Kenya- "But guys like him appear all the time in the manga Rimuru-sensei give us!"
Kenya says while pointing his sword towards the Spectre.
It was at this moment I remotely fiddle with the sword a bit. Drawing out a little of his light energy here, shooting it out with a little rune there…
*Pew!*
Most definitely not on purpose, a beam of light shoots out of his sword at that exact moment and pierces the Spectre in its chest.
Spectre- "Gaaah! Light element! My only weakness!"
The spectre then disappears into smoke and fucking dies, revealing a Full Potion that just lands on the ground with a *thump*.
Ryota- "… A drop item…?"
The group of fully grown men in magical girl outfits cheer about vanquishing another evil (even though they did literally nothing) before skipping off into the darkness of the caves towards the exit.
Everyone just ignores them.
A wise decision.
As for myself, I'm meeting with the Count of Gura-chan or whatever right now.
Rimuru- "So if you give this potion to your wife she will instantly heal lol."
I say as I place down a Full Potion in front of him.
The Count fainted.

A/N: A heads up that normally a Full Potion (apparently) speeds up cell regeneration so casually giving such a potion to an ill person could also make the illness/disease worse. OG Rimuru cut out the bad parts of the body before using the potion to restore the damaged areas, but MC got no time for that and just made the potion heal everything lol.
ALSO
I cant help but feel that the last couple of chapters have worse quality than normal. The next chapters also have the same quality, and I dont know why. Im just finding it hard to make any thoughts. Maybe it's because I keep getting distracted...
