Chapter 101: Learning From The Spirits

"So you're talking to spirits that are living in the walls?" Dawn asked in surprised confusion, "Can't spirits leave the walls? I thought they would be able to go anywhere they wanted."

"They are able to." Thomas answered, "But it takes a lot of their energy and requires them to rest for long times afterward and so, in order to not miss one second more than they have to, they often times live in the walls or other objects nearby that their loved ones touch a lot so they can constantly keep an eye on their loved ones."

"So is that why you were talking to Jawina's watch?" Dawn gently asked, "Was there a spirit in her watch too?"

"Please tell Jawina I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make her scared of me." Thomas confided, "I thought she would welcome hearing from her mom. But I apparently sounded more crazy than the others to her it weirded her out so I have had to keep away from her."
