Chapter 3: 3.
Kora POV
So it turns out business is a great class and was pretty easy to join since the year hadn't really started.
It's Thursday and my morning routine starts with the obvious taking a bath and styling my braids in a bun before hopping in.
After 45 minutes I head back to my room to go get ready for school. I put on some light makeup, with some gloss.
Outfit wise I decided to wear a white shirt with a beige sweater and tennis skirt matched white air forces.
I pack my bags, as I wait for Lee and Amara to arrive.
-hooting sounds-
"Bye mom, bye dad." I say on my way out. I heard my dad mumble but I couldn't quite catch what he said. I decide to ignore it and head to the car.
"Hey guys. How's your morning going?" I ask as I enter.
"Meh same old same old." Lee says with a small smile and shrug.
"Ugh I'm so not ready for school so can we pass by Starbucks or something and get some drinks." Amara pleads from the back of the car.
"Yeah please, plus I also need a breakfast." I plead.
"Really, like didn't you eat or something. I was sure you did, you always got something on you to munch on." Lee says
"Well not today Ms Thorn, so can we just go please and play music." I say to her as I lean my forehead against the window and watch my house go by.
Griffin POV
Beep beep.
'Ugh five more minutes' I think to myself.
But sadly my thoughts are interrupted by noisy brother storming into my room.
"Come on, wake up dude, you got school and I don't want you to be late." He says as he shakes me awake.
Living is the worst. Why am I alive again?
I tiredly push the covers off me and head to the bathroom.
I first brush my teeth and put my face mask on. After it's done setting I jump in the shower.
After my shower I tredge to my vanity to I fix my hair, it's kinkiness all over the place.
I manage to brush it out before straightening it. With that done I rummage through my closet for something to wear.
I ultimately decide to put in some blue baggy jeans, bright green and black jean jacket and Jordan's. Topped off with a black crop top with green lines on the side.
"Good morning to you too Griffin." my aunty greets. "I made breakfast so eat up."
I'm not a morning person so I just give her a curt nod. After eating my breakfast and putting my dish in the washer, I hear a hoot from the driver.
I forgot he had my car I think to myself as I grab and energy bar and shove it into my bag.
"Bye." I sat and head out to the car and as expected I see my two best friends (Kennedy came over this side to help with the mission, she spent her first night at Karters but will be spending the rest of the time at mine.)
"Look alive we already going to that shit hole so don't make the ride even more miserable." Karter says with dead eyes as soon I enter the car.
"Yeah put on a smile, in fact put some Fine Line, it's too early to be feeling this blue." Kennedy says as she takes the aux cord and plays 'Golden'
It actually puts a smile on my face and we all sing it on our way to school.
Jason POV
The boys and I head to Starbucks cause they needed a refresher before school and I agreed.
We enter and place our orders. As we're waiting one of my friends nudges me and points behind me.
I turn around and it looks like Griffin's friend, I think.
"She's cute. Don't ya think?" Liam nudges me from behind.
"Yeah man, I guess." I say turning around before looking back at the cashier.
"Uh no, it's Jason without a 'y'. Thank you."
Kora POV
"Uh no it's Jason without the 'y'. Thank you." I hear a manly voice say.
I look over and it's indeed that same Jason from yesterday, I take in every inch of him. From his muscular build to his green eyes.
He notices and I build up the courage to go and talk to him.
"Hey, you go to my school right." I say trying to act casually.
"Yeah, Jason, you're one of Griffin and Aria's friend right?" he introduces and questions.
"Yep, my name is Kora." I reply.
"Kora? That's really cool, kinda reminds me of The Legend of Korra." He says.
She was badass anyway.
"Just like it's owner I hope." I say trying to flirt.
"Huh yeah sure."
"Do you take business cause I missed the previous years notes since I just transferred and would really like a person I can turn to for help." I asks.
"Sure I guess." he responds.
"Okay cool then so how about I give you my number and we can talk."
"Yeah okay." he responds.
This isn't going as smoothly as I hoped but it's something.
He hands me his phone and adds his number and I mirror his actions.
"Kora?" The barista shouts.
"Thanks, I'll see you around." I tell him as I go fetch my order and head into the car.
"What's up with that smile?" Amara asks curuiosly.
"I know that smile. What's got you so happy?" Lee asks with curiosity written across her face.
I need to come up with something believable.
"The boy from yesterday greeted and asked if I was in his class and offered to help me catch up. That's all, nothing else." I say, atleast I'm being partially honest.
Lee just nods.
"For your safety you better hope so, otherwise Griff and Lee are going to have your head." Amara whispers in my ear and I gulp
