Chapter 71: The best thing that ever happened to me

The final bell final bell rings and I sigh. 

"You ready?" Miles asks when I walk out of my class.

He was waiting for me by the class entrance.

"Sure." I say and head towards my locker. "I'll meet you by your car." 

"Okie. Don't forget to tell off your bodyguard." He says and walks away, leaving me alone by my locker. 

"Hey girl." Chloe walks to me. 

"Hi."

"I can't go home with you today." She says.

"You can't?" I ask her as I close my locker.

"No. I'm going out with Peter today." 

"Speaking about Peter," I begin as we walk towards the entrance. "Does Nick know?"

"He does." 

"He does?" I ask in surprise and she nods. "What was his reaction?"

"He was surprised, then angry. But then I told him I love Peter too much, and I explained to him how his decision won't affect us."

"And?" 

"He just grumbled but I don't care." She shrugs.

"Chloe?" 

"Hmm?"
