Chapter 69: Uneasy

I didn't take my eyes off Bash as the whole gang went on to walk leisurely around Coachella Valley. I wanted to see if he would glance my way, but he seemed to be doing a great job at averting his attention every time there was even a slight chance that our eyes would meet.

He didn't even come close, and was just practically glued in between Nico and Levi.

I smirked and made an internal scream of triumph.

I won against him today, and that was worth celebrating as I didn't fall prey to my previous feelings for his past self.

Things are getting better for me right now.

I was slowly gaining control on my powers, and at the same time I could resist Bash's charms to the point I could even play around using reversed psychology.

Levi was smoking his cigarette once again, and tiny white clouds rose up as he puffed one after the other. Nico and Bash didn't seem to mind, and they all went on as they were.
