The boy in the hoodie staggered up to me, looking down and clutching unto himself as he walked forward and took a seat. He gently placed his dollar in the jar, and sat there, not saying anything.

I repeated what Brent wanted me to say to him, expecting him to say something or ask me anything, but he just sat there looking at the jar. An awkward silence followed, making me count the seconds in my head.

3,2,1..." I said in my head, and my phone dinged, my heart was relived, at last he could leave and someone else could come up, someone who'd actually say something.

I didn't strike well built guys to be timid, but this guy took the cake. He took out another dollar and dropped it in the jar, my jaw almost falling!.

Another minute of torture! He sat there, unmoved, and unfazed, unwilling to say anything to me. I looked behind him to see other guys waiting impatiently for him to leave, the line getting even longer.
