The Chief could only watch the carnage happening in front of him with incredulous and bewildered expressions as his mouth opened but nothing came out of it.

Warning them seemed a little too late now, and thus, he could only watch as his men gradually experienced carnage first-hand.

More than two dozen of these massive spikes, shot out of different but random spots in the fence, and the randomness of their approach made it difficult for the warriors to dodge; they didn't even know which direction the next one was coming from. 

Uncle Min and Aunt Lin saw this and could only frown in fear of what they were seeing. It wasn't that they didn't that they had such defense system, but they never expected it to be this carny.

This didn't look like a simple defense mechanism to them, it felt wicked and looked dark.
