~~~(Location: Exiting Hyperspace, Ord Mantell)~~~
The blue hue of Hyperspace comes to a halt, and my vision is taken by the green and blue world of Ord Mantell. "Designation, Ord Mantell. Status, Civil War." The typical information comes from the computer. It sucks that I'm basically being forced to come here by the mother that abandoned me. If it's not worth my time, I'm leaving regardless. Orders be damn.
My ship locks onto Satele's Holo-Communicator signal, and she answers. "Theron, I'm glad that you've arrived. We're waiting at Fort Garnik's Cantina. The ports security shouldn't give you any trouble." Before she can continue, I turn it off and focus on landing the ship. I'm going to avoid talking to her and avoid spending time with her as much as possible.
My ship descends, and the port comes into view. I land my ship and make sure everything is turned off. I walk to the back of my ship and press the open button on the panel, and it lowers. Letting me out, and as I walk down, I see aliens and humans alike. Some are wearing civilian clothes. Others are in military gear. The rest are republic troops that are fully geared.
Whatever Satele and Nathan need with an SIS agent brings trouble. Ord Mantell is a world that holds valuable information, though. I can see why Nathan would come here, but why Satele would is unknown to me. "Hey, Pretty Boy!!" I keep walking, thinking the voice isn't directed towards me. After a couple of seconds, I feel a hand on my shoulder, and I'm spun around.
What I'm met with is a bone-faced alien with fangs and a bad attitude. The Kaleesh race is notorious for being warriors and problem makers. They're one of the most hated races simply from their primitive behavior and dogmatic warrior approach to every situation. "I was talking to you, Republic boy!!" Most can't make that I work for the Republic, meaning he was sent by someone.
I highly doubt he's smart enough to deduce all this on his own, and I'm getting real sick of this. I'm thinking the best way out of this is with my blaster. Before he can start again, I pull my blaster and unload three shots into his chest. He looks down, shocked, and then falls over dead. His entourage takes this as a sign to get away, and they do.
Since that problem has been handled, I can move towards Fort Garnik's Cantina. I exit the spaceport, and I can see a sign leading to my destination down the street. As I enter the Cantina, my eyes land on a single pair near the bar. One is a woman, and she's standing straight with her arms behind her back, and the other is drinking water with his back turned towards the door.
They simultaneously turn and see me, and my attention is on Satele right off the start. Most of my anger and frustrations are with her, and I hold some for Nathan. "Hello, Theron. It's good to see you." Don't lie to yourself, mother. While walking towards them, Nathan turns in his seat and leans back against the counter. Facing me, we lock eyes for the first time.
Theron has much hate and anger, and Satele senses it too. I stand up, and I'm just a bit taller than he is. He folds his arms and waits. "You know about me, and I know about you, so let's skip the introductions and talk about why I'm here." His impatient's gets the better of him, and he skips any form of greetings. Much to Satele's disappointment.
Satele looks at me along with Theron. I'm the one that dragged both of them out here. Time for me to explain what's going on. "Have either of you ever heard of The Star Cabal?" Theron immediately gains interest, and I can read his thoughts. Apparently, there are some old legends about The Star Cabal that have been told around the SIS.
They're doing their best to think of a response, but I think talking is the best thing to do right now. "The Star Cabal is real, and I'm after them. They're the ones that killed my parents, and they're the most important targets that the Republic and Empire should have." Satele is now invested, and Theron is as well. This is going better than I expected.
