__________ POV Narration__________
'Well, I'll be dammed~ This life is somehow a lot more eventful than my last one~' Beru thought to himself as he glanced at the large meteor that was engulfing the entirety of Musutafu with its shadow.
"OH MY GOD!!" Countless people also could now notice the large ball of rock and death that was quickly approaching their planet.
It had yet to break through orbit, but it was obvious that an object of that size falling from space would bring about an extinction scenario.
Not to mention that there wasn't just one meteor, Beru could easily spot a few dozen with his enhanced vision, all of them barreling towards Musutafu at breakneck speeds.
Izuku and Ochako turned completely white as they saw it too.
Ochako even had tears in her eyes as she realized that this was not only all her and her child's fault, this would also most likely cause their deaths along with the deaths of countless others.
Izuku had much the same thoughts going through his mind, the panic in his eyes was easily visible.
The shock of seeing such a large disaster happening right in front of them was enormous. It was also very painful to know that they had both caused it(to some extent) and that they couldn't do anything to stop it.
The people around were much worse still. The nurses, doctors and other bystanders all had their eyes glued to the sky in shock as they attempted to process what they were faced with.
All of the babies that Beru had teleported out of the hospital screaming and crying certainly didn't help them with their nerves.
"What the hell?!" "WHAT IS HAPPENING!?!" "W-We're done for..."
Countless panicked cries and shouts reverberated throughout the slowly growing crowd of people in the middle of the street.
Cars were stopping as drivers were looking up, people were coming out of their homes and doing much the same.
This exact scene repeated itself in the entire city and beyond. As the majority of people in the region could easily see the meteor as it was quickly growing larger and larger.
"There's no escaping that..." One of the people that had just stepped out of his car said in disbelief and with a tinge of depression.
Many started panicking and running around everywhere, hopelessly trying to get away from their impending doom.
Many fell to their knees in despair, looking at the sky without any energy left, accepting their fate while mumbling their regrets and goodbyes.
There were also those that started crying and wailing, realizing that they had 0 chance of actually getting away, so they started screaming and crying for a saviour.
The world was so used to always having a Hero nearby, now when faced with such a despairing situation they would obviously hope for someone to do something...
Izuku would've usually been in the second group, he was smart enough to know that escaping the range of a meteor of that size was simply impossible.
It was going to completely ruin their side of the globe after all.
He slowly got up, shakily as he tried to think of a strategy. But try as he may, there was simply nothing coming to mind, as the ball of death was already starting to bend the atmosphere with it's entry.
"You brats~ This quirk combination of yours is certainly dangerous as all hell~" Beru looked up with a bit of a laugh in his tone.
Out of everyone at the scene or even those witnessing it from a distance, he was the only one not truly scared or panicking.
Not everyone instantly knew that a meteor was heading for earth though, Don was currently somewhere in Africa 'convincing' Drug-lords and Corrupt politicians that not entering a partnership with him was a detriment to their health.
And Yori was holed up in his study, trying to find ways to make the cure last longer without having it weaken quirks even further.
Izuku and Ochako had their eyes widen as they remembered that Beru was still there with them.
With a glimmer in his eyes, Izuku stared at Beru's back as he walked a bit forward and looked up with an animalistic grin, his fangs showing themselves in an excited manner.
"No need to be so scared of a few rocks though~ I'll be done here in a jiffy~" Izuku's gaze became serious as he reached forward towards Beru.
"Wait! This is a bit too much even for you! It's better if you use your strength to save as man-"
"Save them how exactly?~" Beru interrupted Izuku at that moment, turning his head slightly to the side and giving the young green-haired hero a glance.
"Should I teleport everyone from this side of the globe to the other?~
Can you quantify just how much damage that big rock will do to the earth?~
Do you have any way of knowing that this collision don't completely wipe out a continent?~
What about the tsunami's and natural disasters that this would ultimately cause?~ How exactly would I go about handling all of that?~"
Izuku was already looking ashamed by the second question, by the time the forth and fifth arrived he was already staring at the ground in shame.
"Don't look so beaten~ Not like it's your fault~ Having a child isn't something you can get blamed for~" Izuku perked up at this, he trembled a bit as he clenched his fist.
Beru's words might've helped alleviate his guilt, but that didn't mean he felt much better. They were still in the same situation after all.
Ochako just held her baby in her arms, looking at Beru with a pleading gaze.
"Please... Save us..." She muttered a bit, as Izuku came to her side to help her stand properly.
"Obviously~ I'm the Nr.1 Hero~ No one is dying on my watch~ Unless I'm the one doing the killing~"
Izuku sweated a bit when he heard those words, not very Hero-like.
But then again, this is the type of person everyone knew Beru was. A thuggish hero who, despite his sometimes heroic actions, only did whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted.
"Watch and learn brat~ Not that there's much to learn here since a meteor shouldn't be a common occurrence~"
Beru bent his knees and spread his wings, the wind of it pushed everyone backwards a bit. He managed to snap everyone nearby out of their respective trance.
Many seemed to regain hope from just seeing Beru's form. His slowly expanding back was all that the people could see as Beru was growing more and more in size.
With a thundering sound, he sprung upwards, leaving the street underneath him in a complete mess as all cars and civilians were blown away in an instant.
Thankfully Izuku wasn't sleeping throughout this, he instantly used his Blackwhip and speed to rescue all of the civilians nearby. Ochako simply landed off to the side and took care of her child while looking at the sky with hopefulness.
No one blamed Beru for being reckless, they realised that their situation didn't quite allow for him to hold back at all.
Izuku could somewhat rationalize why Beru didn't just teleport underneath the meteor too. '... He's building up momentum!'
Beru was using countless quirks to propel himself upwards, from Engine to Hellfire to even Air cannon.
The speed he reached cut through the air, far surpassing any feat he had shown previously in his hero career.
The few clouds that were still around were all blown away in an instant as Beru passed them at supersonic speeds.
In a mere second, Beru was already almost right underneath the meteor, which was already burning with fury.
He was so small... A speck of dust in front of the metropolis sized spatial-borne disaster.
With a grunt, under the great pressure that the wind was putting on him, he cocked his fist and prepared for a heavy impact.
Beru punched forwards using the entirety of his strength, all of his enhancement quirks, all of his strength related quirks, all of them fired up to a maximum as he expanded his fist to the size of a skyscraper.
A punch that would've crushed any human underneath it was still barely noticeable compared to the size of the meteor... But size didn't matter at all to Beru!
All of his power all tuned to a point, forming a perfect spear capable of destroying any obstacle, this was the reason Beru could consider himself the strongest, this was why he was called the strongest.
His punch met the molten rock in an instant, releasing a sound so loud that anyone in Japan heard it. The shockwave was also felt...
The air pressure from the descending meteor met with the unyielding strength of the insectoid. They seemed to cancel themselves out, but it was as if a tornado was blazing through the city underneath them.
Beru looked up with wonder as he took a moment to release a sigh. 'This might not end so well...'
His fist instantly started cracking heavily, but that was nothing compared to the damage that the meteor was dealt.
A gigantic hole smack in the middle of it, the strength of Beru's punch not only killed off the momentum that the spatial rock had built in its descent, but it had also smacked a hole right through it.
Beru released another grunt as his broken arm returned to its normal size and fell to his size. Litres of blood spilt out of his open mouth as his scorched exoskeleton was releasing steam.
The meteor was actually not completely broken, even though it had a hole that was a few kilometres wide going all the way through it.
With one attack, Beru had already managed to completely kill the Meteor's speed. Now it was actually bouncing upwards a bit actually.
Beru's arm had already started healing, but the insectoid didn't quite know how to proceed from there...
After all, he had just taken care of one meteor, there were more of them coming.
Through the hole he had created, he could see them clearly. Three more were coming towards his exact location.
'... This is actually not as fun as I expected it to be~'
