Chapter 13: Chapter 12

Livana was lying in her bed with her covers up to her chin and her arms under it. Rebecca was seated on the edge of her bed looking at her in worry. She didn't really like lying to her but she didn't have any other choice.

"Are you sure you're not coming?" Rebecca asked.

"I'm really not feeling well," Livana lied not moving an inch in the bed.

"You were so happy when we said we'd go into town yesterday. I'll convince Nate to go again soon."

It was true, she had been very excited when Nathaniel had said that they were all going into town today. Until she had realized that it was the perfect occasion to end up completely alone in the mansion again. She wanted to go in the undergrounds again even though it had terrified her the first time. It wouldn't be the same now because she would know what to expect. Two days had passed since she had discovered Kal down there and she wanted to try to go back again.

"Thank you, that would be great," Livana said with a small smile.
