Chapter 158: I'm Too Old For This

Ghal wasn't the only one to see the arrival of the Church's Holy Knight, save for the Great Commanders and Bloodbath, but every other thousands of Demonically Possessed creatures didn't know that Holy Magick were their absolute bane.

There was a burning pain coming from his left hand, it felt almost like it was being pounded continuously without stop. He didn't ?k the time to look at what it was but ran away the same way he came here. By taking multiple leaps into the air.

"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" Ghal bellowed, "I've gotta get out of here by any means necessary."

During one his free falls he took the time to look at his pounding hand only to see it completely cut off with heavy elemental energy stopping his natural regenerating powers at the same time eating whatever flesh that regrew.

A few commanders saw Ghal and was about to follow him and be called cowards but what happened next shocked them all. The Demon General held his giant Warhammer and raised it to the sky, charging a crazy amount Darkness-type energy into it.

With his slim hand that held unimaginable power he stuck his Warhammer to the ground. Upon contact, the ground shook like there was an earthquake. The land between he and those Great Commanders that couldn't fly got divided. Only those with wings and flying mounts flew over the crack.

All those still left behind laid out cursed at their leader for abandoning then. They didn't care that he was their superior, they even went as far as cursing his mother. With nothing else that they could do, they turned back and charged back at the Holy Knights with madness.

Ander ceased his assault on Bloodbath and didn't give chase even after that sneak attack from her. He simply stood beside been when he also saw that the Church has finally arrived. He knew Bloodbath was in a dilemma on what to do.

For a demon, being killed by a Holy Knight was worst than Hell's torture, because once killed their soul would be eradicated from both Earth and Hell, giving them no chance to respawn ever again.

It has become crystal clear to Bloodbath that Ander has been toying with her all along. Seeing his wife grin was really frustrating. With the sight of that sword that is on the verge of breaking apart was a huge dent to her pride. She shouted out of frustration and flapped her wings, flying to the opposite direction of the battlefield.

Watching the Great Demon General flee away Ander couldn't help but give it a sigh. The giant black wolf came from behind the two and spoke.

"How is he doing?" the wood stood on its two hind legs before starting to change into a human being with great muscles and a tall build with dark skin. If Ben wasn't in his Universal Plane to calm and stabilize his spell models he would have noticed Mullin as a werewolf before reverting back to his human form.

"In a pretty bad shape of you all me, how is she?" Ander asked in return.

"Only if she'll be able to continue fighting for at least five more hours, then the energy from the Crystals would be reduced to at least a tenth. But with the way the Church is sweeping the demons they might be done in about an hour. I don't know how we can make her drain the energy before it implodes. Telling her to go into the mountains or valley would be useless, and the stress wouldn't be enough for a ride enough flow output." Mullin explained.

"Let's get out of here first then think of an idea quick. I'll go get her once she had nothing else to drain the energy on."

"Okay then, meet me in the valley five miles to the east of that mountain. It's well hidden so listen to my call after sending a signal of your arrival."

"Okay, see you later." Ander leaped powerfully off the ground heading close to Mia's side.

Ben was as vulnerable as a chick for slaughter in his present state. Mullin carefully held Ben in his arms then put his sword away. However, when his hands came in contact with the sword a powerful buzz vibrated as though not wanting to be touched by another person other than Ben. Mullin spewed out a powerful suppressive force only to calm the sword, and not subdue it.

With unimaginable speed Mullin carried Ben towards the mountain in a matter of minutes. He no longer have any other business here. The destroyed wall, shops, and residential area would be taken care of by the City Lord and other nobles and councilmen.

Mullin arrived at the valley farms quickly and gently placed Ben on top of some dried up leaves. After seeing Ben down he sat on a rock not too far from him. There was nothing he could do to a Spellcaster with unstable Spell Models, maybe if he was a Spellcaster himself it would have been another story.

But then, that would be if he was a very powerful Archmage or even a Legendary Wizard, only then can he do anything about bend situation. Since they had great understanding of the elements.

Mullin sat doing nothing, he only had to watch their surroundings and chase away any beast that came too close. An hour had passed and with every passing minute as Mullin watch over Ben, the more astonished he became time and again.

In the face of nobles and normies Ben can be classified as a man who is ready to take the mantle of a man and become responsible. In other words he is ripe to get married and bare children. But to someone like him or even a Spellcaster Ben was just a child to them, yet the prowess he displayed today was nothing anyone his age could possibly accomplish.

He was quite confident to say even an Unspoken of the Third Class might struggle to One-shot Ben.

Seeing that Ben has gotten himself comfortable in that position through his breathing Mullin went out to fetch water from a nearby stream. This was why he chose this side of the mountain. Quickly washing himself in the stream he brought a bucket out of his storage pouch and fetched water.

As gently as possible he took off Ben's coat that reverted back to its original form of a wizard robe. Since there wasn't any Mindpower to keep it that way. He tried as much as possible not to distract Ben's concentration at such a crucial time like this.

He dipped the rag into the water and started to wipe Ben's body of the blood on it. Thirty minutes later he was done, what he saw next astonished him once more.

Since he couldn't use his life energy onto Ben's wounds he wasn't able to help Ben heal his external injuries, but before him no matter the tiniest injury he can without a doubt see them slowly closing on its own.

"What the Hell? Even though Healers can heal faster than a normie without the needs of spells, what his body is doing is something else. I'm too old for this."

When Ben feel into his vegetative state he wasn't completely out of Mindpower and magic power and wasn't about to properly draw any other magic element even though he had successfully formed an Elemental Sphere of the Darkness-type element.

His Universal Plan was shrouded with thick Darkness-type energy. But now he was outside the Darkness infested battleground his powerful Elemental Halo was sticking in every element it could find in the air to stabilize its Spell Models. However, since he wasn't actively doing it himself, the process was extremely slow.

In about another hour or so the instability in the Spell Models was reduced to spare a little Mindpower to enter his spatial ring. A tiny thread of Mindpower, a lot thinner than a thread was directed to the spatial ring but was denied access as it wasn't sufficient.

Ben tried again when he was sure he wouldn't be denied again and retrieved over a hundred Elemental Crystals of different colours. This gave Mullin a little scare. To see so many Elemental Crystals appear out of no where wasn't funny.

In a matter of minutes bulks of crystals were quickly drained and we're turned to dust. Mullin who was at the side watching this heart shattering scene before him felt a sharp pain in his chest. If he wasn't so strong he might as well had a heart attacks.

He wanted to cry but no years feel. He has lives for a good number of years, but he for one has never seen anyone destroy so much resources in such a fashion. Auctions held by Spellcasters trade with either gold or Elemental Crystals, but this was just to painful to watch.

"How many people did you have to rob to have so much crystals? Do you not know its value?" Mullin sighed inwardly as more and more Elemental Crystals were turned to dust.

After draining all the energy from the crystals Ben continued to meditate increasing his Mindpower. The meditation instruction he got from his Badlands collection was better than what he received from The Phantom.

Ten minutes later Ben opened his eyes only to see himself in a tent like structure made from branches. Higher he could see the bright blue sky being obstructed by tree branches and leaves. A few metres to his side he heard the rushing of a stream.

The songs of birds in the air, the rustle of the leaves, rushing stream and gentle breeze brought about a calming sensation. He took a deep breath of the natural air into his lungs. He did this to fill his lungs with air and also clear it off the slight pain he felt.
