Chapter 46: Ch 43 - We're Friends, Aren't We? Pt. 4
"Hah...hah...MADE IT!" Korone said as she put her hands on her knees after getting inside the Holohouse.
"Oh? Ohayou!" The Hololivers in the lounge said to us.
"Yo."
"O-O...Ohayou...HAH! SHIRO-KUN! YOU'RE A MONSTER! YOU'RE TOO FAST!" Korone said.
"Hmm?" I said.
"E-Eh?" The Hololivers at the lounge said.
"W-What's the meaning of this, Shiro-kun...?" Okayu asked.
"Huh? What's what?"
"D-Did you just...RAPE KORONE-SENPAI?!" Mio screamed as she started to faint.
"I FUCKING EXERCISED WITH-Ehem...I EXERCISED WITH HER!" I shouted in English before realizing I needed to speak in Japanese.
'Jesus, all the writing I just did last night really got my mind into English mode HARD.' I sweat dropped.
"WHAT?! WHO RAPED WHO JUST NOW?!" Astel and Temma got out of their rooms.
"HUH?! I KNEW SHIRO-KUN WAS BAD NEWS!" I heard Suisei along with a couple Hololivers immediately at the stairs.
"H-How could you do that?! Korone! Are you okay?!" Fubuki said.
"N-No! You all got it wrong! We just exercised together at a park just now!" Korone said.
"I FUCKING TOLD YOU GUYS, I DIDN'T RAPE KORONE! YOU KNOW, YOU ALL ARE TOO FOCUSED ON RAPE, YOU NEVER NOTICED MIO ALREADY PASSING OUT AT THE COUCH!"
"O-Oh? Ah-" Everybody saw Mio's soul leaving her body as she laid there like a skeleton.
"Sigh. If you all wanted to suck my dick that much, you could've said so, damn idiots." I mumbled while holding my head.
'I was not expecting a damn headache after coming back. Good thing it's morning time, otherwise my mood would be so fucked right now.' I deadpanned.
"H-Hey, Shiro-kun. They didn't mean it, you know? It was just a misunderstanding!" Korone said as she grabbed my arm.
"Yeah, yeah. Besides, it's trivial, and I don't really have time for this shit." I said as I gently got her off of me.
Just when that happened, I heard something from the TV.
"Oh?" I looked up.
"There has been a report by a local saying that he heard gunshots in a nearby building last night around 5 PM. The police have investigated the area, and there was a total of 8 bodies in the building. It is said that this building was used for the purpose of making Japanese pornography. Here's what our witness told us."
It showed that the witness was an old man. He looked like he was in his late 60s.
"So uh...I was just...watching TV. Sitting at my couch with my cat on my legs. Then all of a sudden, I heard gunshots. BANG! It was so sudden! I-It wasn't loud that it could be louder than a construction site, but you can definitely hear it even if you were...let's say wearing earmuffs or so...hai…"
"It seems that there has been no trace of the murderer or whoever has done this. What we do know is that these poor gentlemen suffered an unfortunate fate." The anchor said.
'Heh. You can call it an unfortunate fate after they've sucked dick.' I chuckled in my mind.
"Eh...? That's harsh…Who could've done such a thing...?" I said.
"Say, Shiro-kun…" Korone said.
"Hmm?"
"Why can't the police ever capture the criminal or the bad guy at most times?"
"I don't know...I've never done a crime before."
"H-Huh...hopefully their souls rest in peace...Oh, and uh...sorry for causing the commotion, Shiro-kun." Mio said while sweat dropping.
"Eh, don't worry about it."
I heard a new news anchor come and it switched from the last female anchor to the new male anchor.
"With the rise of Vtubers in Japan and especially with music in Japan coming a long way, there has been a new Vtuber called "Ishijin Shiro". This Vtuber is part of the famous idol agency 'Hololive Production' under the company Cover Corp. In Hololive Production, there are two main branches. Hololive, and Holostars, and Ishijin Shiro falls under Holostars with his brand called V-R.A.P.P. Also known as Virtual-Rapping At Peak Performance."
"He has an upcoming album releasing this March 20, and he's been getting popular within the Vtubing community that his teaser for his EP in Youtube has already reached 1 million views in the span of a few days. People say he's gonna break the mold and further incorporate Hip-Hop into the rapping community. There has been a noticeable Vtuber called Calliope Mori that has also done the same thing. I expect that people will keep on following this trend and see to his career with utmost excitement."
"Heh. It's already reached 1 million views in Youtube already? I guess I'm getting good sales and streams tomorrow."
"Yo...! Your album! Look, Shiro! You're famous now!" Astel said as he ran to me and patted my shoulder.
"Yeah...Can't wait for what my future holds…" I chuckled.
"O-One million...?! Even for a Japanese Vtuber that's not Kizuna Ai or anything, how is that possible?!" Suisei said.
"Hmm, I think it's 'cause of how I speak English, so a lot of people, especially overseas bros, would come to my channel. Essentially saying, because of how I speak English, I get about the same popularity as HoloEN." I giggled nervously.
"Eh...? Then I guess I gotta work hard to reach that level then…"
"Do improve your English, 'cause it sucks ass." I deadpanned.
"HEY! AT LEAST I'M GOOD AT TETRIS! YOU, I BET YOU CAN'T EVEN GET UNDER A MINUTE!"
"I can, actually. Though, I said that as a joke so please don't take it too personally. Besides, we're different, Suisei, so don't even compare yourself to me. We both are different artists with different voices. That's like comparing Sora to Calli. It's not only dumb, but it didn't even make sense in the first place to compare both of them. Anyway, I gotta take a shower now. Korone, I'll see you later. Good morning to you, Astel." I said as I patted his back.
"Mhmm! I'll see you later, Shiro-kun!" Korone said.
And so, I went into my room, and I took a shower.
As I was showering, I wondered about my second album. My first album really is just an attention-grabber, and isn't even my best work. I just need to build a steady fanbase before I really make more albums. The problem with the second album is that...my ideas aren't focused yet.
If we put it in a writer's perspective, I have a story, and all I have are just the beginning and end plot points. I have no middle. And unlike those plantsers or whatever that just say "Fuck it, I'mma improvise.", you do have to be careful with selecting songs. Unless I'm Jack Harlow or any other rapper that just wanna make vibing songs, I wanna create good albums that have meaning in it that aren't just a bop.
"So far...there's the ex-girlfriend song and the Ayame song...what else do I love...? Oh yeah...I never made the beat for the gun song...maybe that's what I'll make today."
And so, after showering and putting on a boxer, I immediately opened FL Studio and started creating whatever.
That would, however, be short-lived, and I found myself procrastinating, listening to Hololive songs for inspiration, especially Tupac's song "Me and My Girlfriend".
"Hmm...man, I love Hololive, but their music is too cheerful to even fit what my mind wants...I guess that's a problem when it comes to wanting what you want yet having no idea how to do it. You only know what it doesn't look like…"
I can't even sample Tupac's song too 'cause I wanted to go with a happier vibe, but the Hololive songs just pass waaay too over the line.
"Hmm...oh? Now that I think about it, something that gives a vibe similar to Death Bed can work...alright, let's play around with some chords, I guess." I chuckled.
"I think this'll be fun…"
And so...I didn't notice, but I actually took quite a lot of time until 11 AM. I was making the beat, then making some lyrics. I had way too much fun and immersing myself into the song.
"Oh man...gotta have lunch now...I'mma have me some chicken." I chuckled as I stood up and dressed up.
Just when I was about to put a hoodie on though, I got a knock on my door.
"Oh? Coming!"
I opened it, and I saw Kira.
"Yo! Wanna eat lunch together?"
"Oh? S-Sure. Though, are you okay with me eating out in public?"
"No worries! I know a place where we can safely eat without having too many eyes on us. Besides, us Holostars already know the secret behind your mask.~" He said as he tapped my chest with his index finger and winked.
"U-Uh...okay? Well, I got my hoodie on. Actually...is it gonna rain?"
"Hmm? Well...the forecast said it's just gonna be cloudy. As far as I checked outside, there are rain clouds in the distance but it's going another direction.
"Really? Lemme see…" I said as I went out of the building really quickly and checked the rain clouds, using my head as a visor to block the sunlight from shining at my eyes.
"...Hmm, Iet's bring an umbrella just in case."
"Lucky you, I already have one in my bag!" He said as he took out his mini umbrella from his purse.
"Oh? That's nice. I guess you're better off."
"Eh?! What about YOUR umbrella?!"
"Too lazy."
"SO YOU DO HAVE ONE! GET IT!"
"Told you. Too lazy."
"Hmph! I won't go eat lunch with you if you won't get it!"
"Sigh...fine." I said as I turned around and got it.
We then went out, Kira being as happy as Nene usually would be in streams.
"By the way, what is this place where we can chat privately?"
"A little shop where we can eat and have our own little corner covered by some cloths draping.
"Eh? Hmm...I guess that's good. How well-known is it?"
"Quite hidden, I'd say. I've been there multiple times, and the eatery usually has at least a seat open. Though, I already reserved seats for us."
"That's possible?"
"A-Ah, I mean...you know, I thought it'd be a waste since I reserved it, so...going out with you would be perfect." He giggled nervously.
'...Huh, well, I ain't complaining if he really did want to take me out.'
"I see...thank you. I really appreciate it."
"Oh? You're welcome!" He said as he smiled.
And so, we finally arrived, and...boi, when I was still at the entrance, I could smell the sweet aroma from roasted meat.
"I see...a BBQ shop, huh?"
"Mhmm!"
We started ordering the meat and we sat in our seats, covered by cloths, as we set the raw meat at the table.
"Damn, it's even a cook-it-yourself resto, huh? I like these."
"I know that you work out a lot, so I thought bringing you to something like this with a lot of meat could work. Though...you don't mind it? Is it bad for your diet?"
"Seems okay with me. Besides, I already picked mine out, so it's fine." I chuckled.
We started putting our food on the grill and waited for it to cook while enjoying that sweet aroma until we get to finally eat.
"Say, how're you doing with your songs? Do you have a lot in mind for future songs?"
"Already got 2 album ideas in mind. Though, just because I do doesn't mean I know what songs I should put in."
"Eh? 2 albums in mind already?" He giggled.
"Mhmm."
"...How nice. You know, I don't wanna talk behind Sui-chan's back, but…"
"Hmm?"
"I noticed her being especially different when she's around you or if your name is mentioned. When it comes to us, she's just the usual senpai who also is shy, 'cause you know...we're male...but when it comes to you, she just...acts as if she sees you as a rival."
"Heh...so you noticed too, ey?"
"Oh? You DID take notice...but do you mind it?"
"Honestly...no. Matter of fact, I'm not even angry about it. I completely understand why."
"What's your insight then?"
"Imagine struggling since being an indie Vtuber, having almost no attention, having to draw, rig, stream, and manage everything yourself. Imagine signing up for an agency where you're just a 'jack-of-all-trades' which can't serve well in the idol industry. Imagine being rejected multiple times for something as trivial as that. Imagine wanting to chase your dreams and be high in the sky yet be nothing but a small ant crawling on grass."
"Now imagine a little fuckboy named 'Ishijin Shiro' who knows nothing about the Vtuber world, taking the spotlight, getting so much attention and love despite being in a community where females are more likely to be successful than males, and having a better repertoire of skills than you. Not to mention, Shiro being so confident and just owning everything, as well as being a 'jack-of-all-trades' like you. I'm not even surprised if she's out for blood. With all that said, you can see why she'd see me as a huge rival." I chuckled.
"But...don't you think she might, one day, be too harsh on you?"
"Nah...I doubt it. Even if she is, I'll knock some sense into her. You know, we're still young adults anyway. We were once 16 years old, and we're just 4-5 years ahead of that teenage stage. I'm not surprised if any of them are gonna throw a tantrum like a baby." I chuckled.
"Eh...? Interesting…do you still like her despite that?"
"Yes...I'm not a hoshiyomi, but I do like Suisei. I'm willing to let her punch me in the face. 'Cause in the end...I WILL make her like me back, and I WILL make her my fan."
"Heh. You're ambitious, I'll tell you that...good luck!"
"Mhmm."
And so, we finally got our grilled meat, started eating, and talked more trivial stuff. Just the usual hanging out. When we finished eating, we finally walked out, and I looked up.
"Ah damn, the rain clouds are above us. Ready your umbrella, Kira."
"Oh? Okay…" He said as he kept holding onto his bag.
"Anyway, you uh...got some more stuff you want to do?"
"Ah, no. I only thought of us eating out together. You uh...wanna go somewhere perhaps?"
"Nah...wanna go home?- ...oh? Oh fuck." I said the last part in English.
I felt something small drop from my head, then another one, and then another one. It would exponentially result to stronger drops, and I got my umbrella, seeing the whole scenery change to rain.
"Dammit, just as I said that, we get rained on. How funny." I laughed.
"Should we sit somewhere and wait for a taxi? I'll call one." I asked.
"Sure! Though, are you okay with waiting for the rain to go away?"
"Yeah."
And so, we sat at a stop, and me and Kira sat close to each other. There were also some people sitting where we were at, so me and Kira were forced to sit very close against each other.
"Hah...sorry to have you in this situation, Kira. We can't help it, can we?"
"Y-Y-Yeah…" He said, tucking his shoulders in.
"Hmm...looking at the clouds, it looks like it's gonna go away after some time, I'mma call for an Uber-Oh SHIT!" I said as I wrapped my hand around him quickly.
"E-Eh?!" Kira yelped.
I got my umbrella quickly and let it expand as it covered us from an incoming car that was about to drive over a huge puddle on the road. I can't say the ones beside us were able to notice it…
"A-Ah! I'm wet now!" The girl beside us said.
"Ah, dammit! My suit!" A guy beside that girl also said.
"Kira, are you wet?" I said as I looked at him.
"N-N-No...what happened?"
"I was about to call for an Uber, but I saw a car approaching a wet puddle there on the road. If I didn't open my umbrella, we both would be wet." I said while closing it.
"Oh...t-thanks." He said while looking away while also grabbing his other arm.
"Anyway...I'm gonna continue calling for the Uber. Just sit tight. The rain looks like it's gonna go away in a bit-...Oh?"
"...Hehe, nothing. Just felt like it."
"Oh? O-Okay..."
And so, the rain finally stopped, showing the sun again as the rain clouds dissipated, and we finally arrived back at the school.
"Man...that was so good...can't wait for my evening stream."
What's my evening stream this 7 PM, you ask? Well…
"Shiro on the mic, Shiro on the beat, Shiro with the heat, everybody, thanks for coming to my stream! Yeah, and you know I got the heat, bro. What's my name? Ishijin Shiro!" I clapped.
"Today...oh yes...I'm coming at you all hard with something. We're gonna discuss...music while I make a beat in FL Studio. So...honestly, I don't know what I'm gonna do. I just know we're gonna make...something." I giggled.
"So...yeah. Let's go make a beat while we just sit back, relax, and just chat about music-and Oh man, somebody just sent me an interesting question."
"'Shiro, your voice somehow seems tough since you always try to break it yet it doesn't break. Don't you think a cover of "Usseewa" would be nice?' Yeah, I do have...quite a tough voice. I-It's not totally invincible. I do feel the pain if I keep screaming for a long time. But uh...yeah, I can. Lemme give a sample."
"Ehem...HAAA?! USSEE, USSEE, USSEEWA! ANATA GA OMOU YORI KENKOU DESU! ISSAIGASSAI BONYOUNA! ANATA JA WAKARANAI KAMO NE?!"
"...And yeah. That's my false chord scream being used." I giggled.
"...'That's a damn demon screaming'. BWAHAHA! I mean...I guess my red eyes justify how my mouth can make such sounds." I laughed more and clapped.
Literally, the whole comment section was just:

"Yeah...I can growl. Matter of fact, I think the whole song will just have a bit of my growls in every line. It won't be that obvious, but you can hear the screams, you know?" I chuckled.
"Yeah...I used to shout a lot when I was a kid, and I still did throughout my whole life. Even now...maybe I am a fucking demon." I laughed.
"Jesus...anyway, time to get to composing!"
And so I started making beats, having a good time with the Privates, and all that for the stream. In the middle, I was asked a question by a fellow Private.
"...Oh? Interesting red superchat. 'Are you planning to collab with Suisei, Calli, and especially, the Holostars in future songs?' Ah, I wonder…" I giggled.
"Uh...definitely. You know, I respect my senpais a lot. Even though I might come off arrogant or even like...I don't know, rude? 'Cause I don't address them with honorifics especially? But...I have huge respect for them. HUUUGE respect."
"You know...obviously, I won't just fucking...glorify them and say that everything, including their songs, are perfect. I'm not a fucking whore for my idols, but…" I chuckled.
"Um...you know, I'm aware Calli isn't the best rapper, I'm aware Suisei may not have made some perfect songs, and I'm aware that Holostars isn't gaining too much traction, but that's what, in my eyes, makes them so perfect ironically. They know their flaws, and they know their limits, and they know how to work around and improve with these boundaries. Matter of fact...one day, I want to be paired with Calli one day and call our duo 'R.E.D'. R.E.D means 'Red Eyed Demons', 'cause...you know, she is a reaper with red eyes, and I'm quite an evil motherfucker with red eyes too."
"So yeah…'Who is your bias in Holostars?' Ah, that's hard to answer…'cause the thing is, I have no bias for Holostars. I love all my Holostar senpais. I mean, in Hololive, I've already stated it out loud that it's Ayame, but when it's Holostars, I don't really have a bias...I love them all equally. Yeah…"
"...'Astel said that you have a nice voice'. Eh, really?! Is that true? Eh, I really appreciate it!" I clapped.
"Guys, you better clip it and send it to him. If you don't, I'm gonna kill him." I snickered.
"...'Why would you kill him instead of us?' Because my logic is flawless.~" I said in a cutesy voice.
And so, I ended the stream and breathed out.
"Alright! Stream done!"
Ohoho...tomorrow will be lit! Let's see the reactions tomorrow!
~~Kurome's POV~~
"Hah...well, at least we got a single trace of Adrik…which is whatever this thing is." I mumbled.
After searching in Adrik's homecountry, Croatia, all I was able to get was just a picture of some writings on a whiteboard in a building far from the urban areas.
"Till now, I still don't get what the hell this means…" I said as I twisted my head in certain angles to see if I could see something I didn't catch earlier.
The writing is just a random paragraph where Adrik just talked about a plan again of going to certain places for another attempt in launching a nuke to Russia. But other than that, that's predictable…
"...Oh? What's this?"
I looked at the writings diagonally from top left to bottom right. It formed some sort of phrase, but I have yet to read what it read.
"F...khyu...shu…'In Kyushu'...? ...Holy shit...!!" I said as I stood up and turned the lights on to view the map of Japan stuck on my room's wall.
"...That's one of the quieter prefectures in Japan...Perfect for a silent deal…"
If...if it's in Japan, then that means it includes Shiro, my son! I can't let that happen!
"Well, even if it's not Adrik's actual plan, I'll find out more about him and stop his plans at once. I need to talk to Sakura, Hide, and Saburo!"
I don't know if I'm too late, but I need to find out if Kyushu really is where they're gonna be! But I know Adrik. He won't just go to a town or anything. He'd find a place where there are ironically a lot of people and go somewhere quiet like an abandoned apartment. That can narrow down the possibilities and can let me pinpoint where he could be!

"Hoo man...can't wait for the release." I chuckled as I sat back on the chair while looking at Daijo's computer.
"Alright, before we release it, are you really sure these lyric videos are completed?" He asked.
"Mhmm. I triple-checked it all, looked at every detail, and made sure I didn't mistype anything. It is the best it can be."
"Alright...Jesus Christ. Look at this. There are 30k people waiting for this to finally go live…" He said, showing me the screen.
"I know, I know...and that's what makes this all the more exciting."
"Say...you have any music to release next month?"
"Well...if you watched my stream this evening, which I'm sure you did, I uh...am working on an instrumental for 'USSEEWA' currently."
"Heh. Nice...You know, I think you should go back now. You know...make lunch, and just let the magic do the work. Besides, like the old saying goes. 'Don't work for money, let money work for you.'"
"Heh. Well...you have a point. I need me some veggies and meat in my system. Take care, Daijo." I patted his back and stood up.
"Heh, you act as if we're already friends."
"Well, we're having a manager-talent relationship. Gotta use the most natural communication method." I chuckled.
"That's not natural, you idiot." He said as we both laughed.
"Ah...well, I wonder what's gonna be their reaction?" I mumbled to myself.

The first song was basically my album's cover and the lyrics on the screen, with fancy editing, of course.
The second was a drawing of me putting my hand out to the screen as I stared at it with a smirk under my mask. My mouth wasn't visible, of course, but you can sense the arrogance and confidence behind my expression.
The third song was me on a stage jumping while grabbing a mic as I rapped to an audience.
The fourth was the only one that didn't focus on rapping, but really captured the mood of when a soldier goes to war. Unlike the others, this was a GIF. I was on my knees, leaning my hands against a sniper rifle with the muzzle on the ground as rain poured all over the field.
And so, I cooked lunch, and when I saw the streams happening one after another...holy shit. I've never seen so much hype in the community since live MVs of the Hololivers. The viewers blasted to a good 40k. Hell, by the time it arrived to "A Soldier's Life", the total peak of viewers was 60k...holy shit.

"You know, seeing how Shiro goes in with this, it's not as if he's saying this as his character. It's as if he's actually saying this from a place with experience. Not to mention, how he's helped the Hololivers, especially Rushia, in certain situations. It makes me think this song is very personal to him and that he's really been in harsher situations than we could imagine."
And the whole stream ended. I had to wait until 1:00 PM, and then I had to stream to talk about the album and break it down into pieces.
