Chapter 6: Practice Match: Seijou vs Karasuno 2
"Yoohoo, Tobio-chan, Ken-chan. It's been a while", As Karasuno were enjoying their 1st set win, a voice came from behind. Kageyama is shocked to see Oikawa and was silent.
"Oh, Oikawa san, Hi," Kenshin looked at Oikawa and replied with a smile.
"Oikawa means he is Seijou's captain."
"He sure is popular."
"I hate pretty boys like him."
"But Tanaka, why didn't you hate Kenshin."
"He is my kouhai who has given me respect. So him being handsome is okay."
"Oye, what's with this mentality."
"Oye, Kageyama, how do you know him."
"He was my senpai in Junior High who taught me to serve and receive."
"He is your senior means he is Great King."
As Karasuno team members were talking, Oikawa walked towards them.
"Ken-chan, How are you. I didn't know you were in Karasuno with my lovely kouhai",
"I am fine. I just like Karasuno uniform, so I decided to join", Kenshin replied.
"What kind of reason is that?" Oikawa said with an annoyed look on his face.
"Why aren't you on the team," Kenshin asked.
"I was slightly injured during training, but it's fine now. Okay, now I will warm up a bit and defeat my kouhai in the match", Oikawa said, looking towards Kageyama.
"But Volleyball is a team sport. How are you going to defeat him" Kenshin asked curiously?
"You are no fun, Ken-chan," Oikawa said while making a funny, angry face and went away.
After the fiasco with Oikawa san, Daichi looked towards Hinata and asked, "Hinata, are you fine now."
"Yes, Captain"
"Sorry, Hinata, for replacing you. You were too nervous in the match. Are you okay to play" Daichi asked?
"I am okay, Captain. I want to be on the court", Hinata said with an excited and determined face.
Kenshin looked at Hinata and thought, 'Looks like my worries are useless. Hinata's mentality isn't weak. Having him on my back will make me work even hard'.
Daichi then looked at others and said, "Hinata, you will replace Ennoshita. And I want you and Kageyama to try your 'weird quick' to see if it's effective or not". To which Hinata and Kageyama nodded.
"Tsukishima and Kenshin, do what you were doing. Your blocks are pressuring Seijou's spikers. Everyone, make sure you don't make too many mistakes", Daichi san said.
After that, both the team went to the court and the second set began.

The game continues as normal until it was Kenshin's turn to serve. As soon as he came, everyone on Aoba Johsai's team has an annoyed look.
"He is here."
"His serves are dangerous."
"Spread out a bit. He targets the corner."
"Don't be scared. Make sure to receive well."
Kenshin looked at Aoba Johsai's team and decided to do left-handed Jump Serve.
Kenshin threw the ball with a slight spin and jumped to hit the ball. The ball went towards Hanamaki with such pace and spin that he could not get it up.

Aoba Johsai's team were consoling each other and boosting each other's morale. Karasuno team members were cheering.
"One More Point"
Kenshin decides to do a left-handed Jump Floater towards their Libero like what Kiya Atsumu had done to Nishinoya.
Kenshin threw the ball up and hit a Jump Floater towards Watari san. The ball suddenly changed its course slightly upwards, making the ball hit his shoulders, and the ball went out of bounds.

Kenshin got another 2 points from the Libero using Jump Floater before the libero; Watari san managed to lift the ball towards Yahaba, who set it for Iwaizumi san, who spiked the ball to the sides of Tanaka who failed to get the ball up, thus scoring a point.

When Kenshin's service broke, all the members of Seijou had a relieved look on their faces. Kenshin has height, power, and ball control which make him deadly.
His Jump Floaters are faster than average players making it fast and unpredictable. Thus even many experienced players can't receive properly.
Daichi looked at Hinata and Kaegayama and nodded at them. Hinata just became super excited and began smiling like a fool.
It was Kindaichi's turn to serve from Seijou. He sends the ball towards Tanaka san, who lifted the ball comfortably, sending it towards Kageyama. At the moment, Hinata was already spiking motion when Kageyama just sent the ball towards Hinata's hand. The ball touched the ground before the blockers even got the chance to block.

This shot shocked everyone on Seijou's team as they were flabbergasted. Meanwhile, everyone on Karasuno had a smug smile on their face.
"What the hell was that"
"How did the ball come to our side"
"Dammit, Karasuno's 1st year are dangerous"
"That shorty was closing his eyes"
"Really, what the hell is wrong with our opponents"
Seijou's players started thinking it was a fluke, but Karasuno got the next few points with the same 'weird quick' attack proving to them that it wasn't a fluke, albeit making mistakes.

After that, Seijou started paying more attention to Hinata, making it easy for Tanaka and Kenshin to score.

At this moment, Seijou took a time out, and everyone started discussing a strategy to counter it.
"Don't get overwhelmed by Kageyama and the #5[Hinata]. If you focus on #5 too much, you give Kenshin and #2[Tanaka] a chance to score. We may have underestimated them, but we aren't so weak to get swept by them. Make sure to receive and block properly", Coach Irahata said while looking at his players.
"What coach says is true. We should be glad that this is a practice match. We should learn more about them to properly crush them in Inter-High", Oikawa san said while walking towards the team.
On Karasuno's bench....
"You guys are amazing especially Kenshin kun, they haven't blocked any of your attacks", Takeda said excitedly.
"It's okay. Aoba Johsai's blocks aren't that great. I heard Date Tech and Shiratorizawa have amazing blocks", Kenshin replied. Upon hearing Date Tech's name, the expression of older team members fell.
"Whatever I am happy that you are here. And I can feel that you guys can improve more and more", Takeda looked at the team and said happily.
The match resumed with Oikawa replacing Yahaba san. It was also Oikawa's turn to serve. Oikawa pointed his finger at Tsukishima and said, "All this attack is meaningless if you can't even receive."
After that, he used his powerful jump serve to send the ball towards Tsukishima, who failed to get the ball up.

After that, Oikawa got 2 points from Tsukishima before Tsukishima managed to get the ball somehow, and Hinata and Kageyama did a quick attack to break Oikawa's serve.

After the arrival of Oikawa, the attack pattern of Seijou changed. Their attack became more effective. Although Karasuno is on the lead, it is due to Kenshin's blocks shutting down many of Seijou's attacks.
[Kenshin isn't spiking much as it's only a practice match, and the team is trying new things, i.e., Weird Quick attack. Kenshin will get more spikes in tournaments or against difficult teams.]
It was now Kenshin's turn to serve, which gave pressure on Seijou's team. Kenshin decided to do a right-handed jump serve this time.
Kenshin sent the ball towards Oikawa with massive power, which caused Oikawa to not being able to receive the ball. After that, Kenshin sent the ball to Oikawa but now with a jump floater, causing Oikawa to miss again.

Oikawa looked at Kenshin with an angry look while muttering, "Damm Brat". Other Aoba Johsai players consoled him.
Kenshin sent the ball again to Oikawa, who managed to get it up. The ball went to Hanamaki, who set the ball for Iwaizumi. Iwaizumi spiked the ball with full force, but Kenshin managed to dig the ball.
Kageyama got under the ball and set it for Tanaka. Tanaka hit the ball, which touched the blocker's hands and flew out of bound.

It is now a match point for Karasuno. This time Kenshin took a deep breath and decided to do a right-handed jump serve. Kenshin sent the ball to Matsukawa, who was unable to get the ball up.

All the Karasuno members cheered and started jumping at Kenshin, who again dodged them skillfully. After that, they shook hands with Aoba Johsai's players started doing stretching before leaving.
As the Karasuno team was leaving, Daichi's face became serious, and he said, "In today's match though we won, most of it is attributed to surprise attack from our side. This will not happen with powerful teams. We have to train our basic even more to avoid losing points".
Karasuno won the practice match 2-0[28-26, 25-20].

I have removed "san" from the chapters and added a bit more interaction in between. Hope they won't look too forced.
Kenshin's personality- He is quiet, speaks less, expresses less. He is very hardworking and determined but doesn't shout like other members.
