Chapter 386: His Life

The wind howled violently as the storm continued. Nature mourned the death of an uncrowned Queen. But he was the core of the storm. 

His cries of pain were heard by all. He knew no shame to hide his love for the one who gave him life. Since she died as he watched, he knew that he had no life. 

The woman who caused her death stayed in play unable to move. His violent hit had crippled both souls. Except now, the devil had been thrown out of its vessel. 

Malaika retained her body but due to exhaustion passed out. Chained to a corner was the devil's soul. black long waves covered her face with only red orbs visible through the curtains. 

In place of the once regal and refined Queen, laid an ugly creature with an extremely horrible scent. It didn't bother Lahan because he was crushed. 

His only reason for ever caring was dead. This war was never his to fight. The only war he had the responsibility to fight, he lost. He was supposed to protect her.
